Beware!!! Do not purchase from "FocalpriceStore" in China. This adapter only functioned for a couple of uses and failed to send data to several working HDMI cables afterwards. Unfortunately, I purchased three quantity but considering it was so cheap, save your time and pay more for a better quality product. Not all items from China are this way, but I have noticed that smaller items such as adapters, connectors, and power supply from China either tends to be of very poor quality or fail to function at all. Purchase an "HDMI to HDMI Mini cable" instead as these are of higher quality and tend to function better.Update:Actually, I found this device to be 100% functional. The issue was due to tablet not immediately seeing the HDMI port. A quick re-start usually fixes this problem but before you restart your tablet or device, you can unplug the HDMI and reconnect. I also found that it was best to first connect this tiny adapter to an HDMI cord and then connect cord and adapter as one piece to your Tablet/device. Lastly, connect the other end to your HDTV. You may also try connecting to HDTV first and follow aforesaid procedure when connecting to Tablet/Laptop etc. Either way, it has worked well for me but on occasion, my HDTV "fails to obtain data" but one of above-said methods have always fixed this problem. I changed the rating from 1 start to 5 stars pending further investigation. Hence, go ahead, you may purchase from "FocalpriceStore" in China as I received X3 quantities and all work very well to-date!!!

I purchased this adapter and paired it with  AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable (6.5 Feet/2.0 Meters) - Supports Ethernet, 3D, and Audio Return [Newest Standard ]. My intended use was to connect my  Creative ZiiO 8 GB 7-Inch Android 2.1 Wireless Entertainment Tablet (White)  to a TV for video output. I would rather have an HDMI cable that I can always use in other instances rather than a dedicated HDMI to HDMI mini cable. This adapter is great for allowing me to use a regular HDMI cable, but not be tied down to a single use specialty cable. The adapter appears very strong and hasn't broke in the 2 months I have had it. My adapter was purchased from INTERNATIONAL GLOBAL VENTURES and was fulfilled by Amazon.

While the items came within the expected delivery window that was it for the pro's of this experience. The mini hdmi to hdmi converter was dead on arrival and the mirco hdmi to hdmi worked if i wiggled it but today after 2 months of MINIMUM use (used 2-3 times) the plug broke off inside my tablet. Luckily the plug never fit all the way in so it was easy enough to extract with tweezers.

Read the owners manual for the product you want to use this with. My pocket projector would not accept an adapter. You may be better off just buying the right cable. Otherwise I have not found a use for this adapter.

Well, it worked wonderfully to connect my  ASUS Transformer  to my  VIZIO Flatscreen  for about 4 months. I would stream netflix or presentations from my tablet up to my TV with no problems. THEN the connector started to act up and had to be supported by something in just the right position, it just wouldn't make a positive connection. Now, six months since purchase it wont work at all.I know its a small price tag item($5 when I purchased), but when I purchase cables and adapters I expect them to last at least two years. I don't think that's beyond reason.

All I gotta say is that I'm glad that I found this adapter (kinda hard to look for). So I talked with a few friends who told me on how much HDMI gives better picture quality (etc.), and I just had to try it out, so I ordered a pair of HDMI cables from Amazon, they arrived, and to my freaking surprise... I did not noticed that my video card "a GTX 550 Ti" had a different kind of HDMI(1.4) entrance.... so I was a bit puzzled on how come on the latest GTX cards have mini-HDMI 1.4 entrances, yet on the older non-gaming GT cards have the standard HDMI... *sigh* luckily I searched and found this adapter, which works fine, it kinda feels a bit loose, but it works without any issues whatsoever. I really recommend this adapter to anyone who runs into a similar position as me.

This HDMI to mini HDMI adapter has worked great. I tested it out and there's not much more to say other than it fits like it should and it transmits the audio and picture well. The item arrived a bit later than expected shipping date but that is more on the seller and not part of the actual item experience itself. The end just caps over an existing HDMI cable which makes it really easy and convenient.

As usual I was making something more complex than it needed to be. I just wanted to connect my digital camera to my TV via HDMI. After looking at cables that had a regular HDMI plug on one end & a mini HDMI on the other, I figured that would do it. Then I came across this item. Without buying another HDMI cable I could attach this item to an HDMI cable I already had and be done with the connection. No extra cable to buy & store. Just this little adapter that easily fits in my camera case & works great!

I needed this to convert between HDMI and a slightly old TV. The adapter arrived in a small plain envelope. The (free) shipping took longer than expected, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, after plugging in everything, my set up didn't work. After some troubleshooting I found that the issue was the TV. Oh well. The TV was free, so I suppose this is just another situation where I got what I paid for. I tested the adapter using another TV, and it worked perfectly. There was no additional set up needed. Just plug in and play.The adapter seems to be made from cheap plastic, with some marks and visible seam lines. Not that that really matters though. I would have preferred it if there was a short bit of wire between the ends of the adapter. The way it currently is, it can easily be damaged or damage whatever it is plugged into if it is tilted instead of carefully removed. That said, I have yet to run into an problems with it. For such a low price, it does its job perfectly well. Just be careful not to accidentally snap the end off.

I needed this but didn't want to spend the $30 price at local stores, this only cost me 0.90c...a price that cannot be beat. I use this item to this very day without issue or concern.A quality item that I would recommend to anyone.An honest review

Does what it is supposed to. In retrospect a cable or one with a swivel would have been better for my situation as the whole weight of the large HDMI cord is on the little micro male end. If it could swivel down or was flexible there would be less pressure on my device (*note that I have a heavy duty 75' blue rigger HDMI cable, if you're using a lighter, shorter, more flexible this would work great).

Works fine but I would go with a cable type because this unit seems like it stresses the connector on the computer I'm using it on. Long story, but I discovered posts that some people with the same computer have had trouble with the HDMI plug breaking off the mother board. Bad scenario to be avoided if your only benefit is saving a couple of bucks.

Received the connector 5+ weeks after placing the order. Order this for a dell latitude laptop. Mechanically, the connector fit well into the laptop's mini HDMI port however, it did not work properly out if the box. Several issues were experienced: intermittent video signal, resolution seemed to change each time i removed the connector and reconnected it to the laptop.Most product reviews for this were great so I may have just received a lemmon.A return/refund was requested and granted by seller without a problem...smooth process.

Bought this so that I can convert mini-hdmi to regular hdmi to transmit signal to my TV on my Nvidia GTX 580 because for some reasont the GTX 580 only has a mini-hdmi connection on the back and no regular hdmi.My Hdmi cable is 50 feet long. It was tested with another device so i knew that worked.At first this adapter didn't work. The connection to the back of my GTX 580 felt loose, and there was no satisfying click or satisfying sense of a secure connection...So as I was playing with it at the back of my card, at one instance my TV asked me if I wanted to switch to HDMI.. When i went for my remote to do so all excited, then request disappeared.So i had this radical idea to shave the plastic at the male mini-hdmi tip because it didn't' feel secure when connected to my vid card.I took an exacto knife and carefully cut about 1 mm of plastic around the male tip of the mini-hdmi. I then plugged it in as before and voila, a secure tight fit to my vid card and my TV immediately asks me if I want to switch to view the hdmi device. Works like a charm.So if anyone's having troubles that worked for me!

The product seems to be of fairly decent quality, though I did notice that it was somewhat difficult to connect the HDMI wire to the converter. It's a snug fit, which nearly guarantees that your connection will stay solid. However, I'd be super careful when disconnecting the wire. Don't wiggle it, just pull straight out, or else you may damage one of the connector pins.All in all, a fantastic product at a surprisingly low price. The shipping took far longer than I would have liked, though considering it arrived in a basic envelope via Hong Kong Post, I suppose I can't really complain.

Bought 2 as insurance in case one was defective - at this price it's worth it (rather than retuning and re-sending). The first one I tried worked perfectly so now I have a spare. Be aware that it took several weeks for the order to arrive (but well before their promised delivery date) - to be expected at these prices and all the way from Hong Kong. Happy.

For the price is a steal, preforms perfectly when connecting my tablet to the TV, I wish it had a plastic cap to protect the plug wen not in use, the socket on the adapter connects to a standard HDMI cable

Works like a charm! Teams up with my existing cables to work with my tablet. Good quality and convenient. I recommend this adaptor to others requiring a micro HDMI access to phone or tablet.

Since I have first used it a few months back, I noticed how hard it is to get it in and out. Yesterday it finally got stuck in my camera. When I pulled the adapter, it split in two, exposing internal connections. I had to use pliers to get the internal part out of the camera. The adapter is destroyed.

No complaints.

Takes a while to ship overseas, but can't beat the price and works as advertised. The actual connector (HDMI mini) is flimsy, but that's because of its design in general, the same issue exists with other models of hdmi mini connectors.

It works but not with resolutions beyond 1080p!

Tested adapter and it seem to work correctly (Tested on a BlackBerry Play Book). Looks well made. This was a good price, so I got it just in case I need one.
