dose it good for crystalline silica in quartz countertop shop?

I think it would be good to keep the dust down. However, I think you need to buy with an All Purpose filter not a hepa filter.

It comes with a Flange on the other end. You can attach ducting to the flange. Ducting is sold separately.

Yes you can use this machine. But you may want to look into a NOVF2105 General purpose machine. It will collect plaster and drywall dust more effective. Also what is your ceiling height? Knowing this will determine the cubic feet, that is necessary to calculate. Also what is the "change-out" requirements? Is it every 8 min, 20 min? Just by guessing if you have 10' ceilings and 10,000 sf = 100,000 cubic feet. With that calculations your looking at 6 machines for every 8 min.

Would this work in a wood shop?

Yes this will work in a wood shop. The 1st stage and 2nd stage will catch most of the large debris before going thru the 3rd stage heap filter.
