R2920 Surface Thermocouple Probe, Type K, -58 to 932°F (-50 to 500°C)

I like to use these temperature probes to measure the HVAC system in cars to understand better where I might have a restriction or if the AC is operating correctly. I wish it were a little longer like my old one, which went wrong, but it does the job.

I used this to measure the surface temperature of a waxing iron with an multimeter, and it works great. Note that it does not come with a multimeter adapter, so if you plan to use it that way, you’ll need to get an adapter separately.

Works very well on my Extech thermometer

I bought this for my place of work to check press temperatures. It worked for about 4 weeks and then failed.

I work on commercial cooking equipment and have used this surface probe to check temperatures on flattop grills. The probe is very accurate. I had one that lasted about a year before it stopped working. Ordered a new one and within a week I’m already having issues and had to return it. For the price of this tool I’d expect a better quality and more reliable tool. It was never dropped or sustained any damage. My fieldpiece multimeter would just read OL or random temperatures.
