Q: what width railing will these fit?

2”-3”. It will fit the smaller rails or fence. What’s nice is that it’s a long indent that whatever size railing or fencing you put it on will fit and not flip over. And what else is great that there is room for the roots to grow, it is quite deep and wide enough for them to be comfortable. Hope this helps :)
