Easy to use
Easy to use. My pores are practically gone. My skin is so soft. Works great, has a screen that tells you what area to do, how to to do it and how long. Great value for the money

AWESOME DEVICE!!
What a GREAT purchase! The first time I used the device, I was shocked by all of the dead skin it removed! Great suction and doesn't irritate my skin at all! It has automatic settings and manual setting which is very helpful! No regrets here!!

Decent microdermabrasion gadget
So, after having a salon microdermabrasion done several times (almost $500 ago) decided to purchase this particular one for several reasons. First, the suction at max setting is comparable to most salon machines, based on a review of several different home machines. Second, it uses diamond rather than crystal heads, and finally, who wants to pay in the excess of hundred bucks for every treatment....my experience is that even at the maximum setting, the GLO system is much more gentle than salon treatment....in terms on how it felt during the procedure. Also, my skin was substantially more red after the salon treatment. However, next day, I couldn’t tell much difference between the two treatments....which is good. The skin was smooth and radiant and noticed neck wrinkles and crow feet are less visible. For the reference, I’m 48yrs old...skin looks younger....no doubt. It’s possible that the salon treatment is more powerful and as such having a greater impact and therefore needs to be repeated within weeks or months, whereas GLO is more gentle but can be and maybe should be done 1-2 per week....I have the feeling that the final result is more less the same, and at much better price. The device works well, it’s easy to set it up and use it in either auto or manual mode. It comes with two identical diamond heads, a bunch of filers (20 or 30 pcs) and a very short instructional booklet. Eventually the heads, the filters and an O ring will have to purchased, as those are consumables. I do think the manufacturer could have added more technical information on suction strength for each of the settings, about how the whole the thing works and what does it do....yes, we can find all that online. Anyhow, the booklet and device screen offer good enough guidance on how to use it on a specific area of the skin. For now I give it 4 star since I only used it once since I received it last week and want to see how long it lasts....there is 1yr manufacturing warranty so I guess I’m giving it a 5th star for that.

I did not receive a quality product
I've had this product for more than a year, but I've not been a consistent user. If I had to guess, I'd say that I used 3 or more 4 times a month until it stopped worker a few months ago. The electronics still work, the image appears and the timer counts down, but the motor no longer runs. At least now I understand the concept of microdermabrasion. It's like when you run a vacuum hose over your arm. The suction pulls your skin into the host and pressure is applied to your skin where the edges of the plastic hose meet your skin. This is the same concept, except the part where your skin meets the "hose" is like sandpaper. So, as you move the device over your face, the abrasive area scrapes off skin cells and the machine sucks those into an unsophisticated little piece of felt "filter." I guess I can buy into the concept, but I guess my experiment has come to an end. I never dropped the device or anything, it just stopped working. I will say that I didn't love the shape of the device. It's awkward to hold in your non-dominant hand and I found that I often turned it off unintentionally because of the placement of the buttons and the need to grip the device to pull it across your face. Overall, I'm calling this a very expensive experiment given how long the device lasted for me.

Exfoliating is the #1 most to get the best results!
Update:I was pleasantly surprised when I recieved an email from the company offering to give me a smaller piece to resolve the issue of not being able to get to those hard to reach areas. That is great customer service and impressive! Also I will say that I've noticed the more I use the device the more results I get. I literally see the dead skin coming off as I'm using it. To get the absolute best results when you notice this stop and use the bristle brush that's included to brush off all the gunk or even switch to the 2nd included piece to ensure best results. Last I haven't had an issue again w the manual mode so that's even better. I highly recommend this device and as I said previously this was the device that was recommended most when I was searching for a great device. The reason I gave it a 3 is due to the manual setting not working all the time and that it doesn't work well on all of my nose but I do like this product. When I first tried it the manual setting didn't work only the auto setting worked. The next time I tried it on manual setting it worked. So that is definitely a major downfall for an expensive product. As for how well it works...I'm not one to just use once or twice and judge it especially when using something I'm not an expert on. So with that being said the first time I used it I didn't exfoliate well first so it did seem to give ok results. I love exfoliants a lot and believe it or not the best DIY exfoliant to use for good extraction is simply baking soda and charcoal powder mix(I use a vitamin C cleanser or just a little water to make a paste). Now that I use that after cleaning my face w my Mia device I do get good results. Would I say its worth $199 well given that the settings don't work always I'm on the fence w yes or no and the fact I can never get good suction on the bridge of my nose which is definitely a must do spot for extracting. So I'm not sure if that's a suction issue or if that part of your nose is just really hard to do. I do like how portable it is and I don't feel like it is a big process so it's more encouraging to use that's for sure.It will give you good results without harsh results as long as you watch videos and take your time it's not going to scratch your skin up and of course you're going to be very red after but I love it cuz I know I've done a good job. Most important you must finish w a good skin care regimen especially since you've gotten the dead skin, clogged pores clean and now your product is able to get down in there much better. I did do a lot of research before buying this product and it was recommended above many others.
