Sharp microwave
This one is to replace my previous Sharp microwave which has served its purpose with no problem for over 10yrs. Now just beginning to rust inside. This new one is fabulous. Smaller in size but same litreage.Looks impressive in my opinion and takes up less space than previous one.The only down side is it comes with NO MANUAL USAGE GUIDE. Having said that it is easy to figure out IF you have owned one before. To set your cooking time manually press the microwave symbol as shown on my picture then your required time then start button. If you press the start button only it is programmed for a 30 second use.The rest of the programmes i believe are self explanatory.

Microwave
This machine is a little wider and it doesn't take up much more space than the other I had. It is also very simple to use and is a very nice piece to use

Not Complicated to use.
This review is for theSHARP YC-MS01U-B Compact 20 Litre 800W Manual control Microwave, 5 power levels, defrost function, LED cavity light - BlackPros -1) Easy to use - just set the power and timer knobs. Theses are manual controls, not electronic so hopefully will prove reliable in the long term. If you like "uncomplicated" then this is for you.2) Compact size so ideal in a smaller environment.3) Appears well made and looks good.4) Value for money.Cons - 1) Internal light only comes on when cooking. All other times it is off.2) Supplied with a Quick Start Guide leaflet which is very basic. You have to download a more comprehensive leaflet on-line.3) No warranty details apart from " Take unit to a dealer with proof of purchase".

Missing metal plate
The media could not be loaded. I bought this microwave 4 years ago so obviously out of warrantyPaint started to peel off as shown in the video I then noticed the metal plate is missing insideThis has taken me a while to notice but it’s not something I actually would have looked for - I will in the future !It has now started to arc very badly so can no longer useSadly I replaced my fully working microwave for this one because it was smaller.Very disappointing

Works, in the sense that it cooks fine, but definitely 'clunky'!
Bought this after I broke my last Sharp microwave, the manner of which is perhaps worth mentioning as something to avoid: I opened the door of it, and the door bounced off an object on the work surface just as I moved my hand into the microwave to take out the food; my hand hit the plastic latches that hold the door closed, and broke one of them, and all attempts to repair it failed, thus forcing me to buy this replacement.I've always found Sharp's microwaves noisy to use - putting a dish on the glass turntable, opening and closing the door, even working the console - and this model is at least as bad as previous ones, arguably worse. Another irritation is that, with the previous one, opening the door when it beeped at the end of the cook silenced it, whereas this model just carries on beeping. Further, I've always found Sharp's microwave button pushes an infernal nuisance because often they do not 'register', and this one is if anything worse in that the front panel creaks at every button push, due to the force required to make it register.Further, by comparison with my last model, although it cooks just as well, I'm disappointed with the controls. Some may welcome the finer grained microwave level settings, but for me it just means that more button presses are needed to make the same settings as before, while the fact that you have to set the machine going within about 1 minute of making the settings, or else they just get 'forgotten', means that you can't make the settings and then come along some time later and start the cooking at the right time to synchronise with other things being cooked; now instead I have to set it going immediately, then open the door and close it again, and only then will it remember the settings. This causes unnecessary wear and tear of the door mechanism and unnecessary noise when I'm trying to listen to the radio when cooking.Works, in the sense that it cooks fine, but definitely 'clunky'!

Simple no frills microwave
After reading alot of the reviews was a bit sceptical however generally I’m pleased with this microwave. Well made/finished good internal size simple to operate functions well and easy to clean.Size is not as advertised and it’s a bit clunky and buttons can be a bit unresponsive but it easy to use and I’ve got used to it!!
