This device Vs Ipod classic
I have an Ipod 80g 6th gen classic. Bought new many years ago. Recently it developed the habit of switching tracks on its own [no, it isn't on shuffle] or to be more accurate, switching albums on its own, a track or two from Beethoven, then perhaps one from Meat Loaf, followed by a couple from say TRex, then Rachmaninoff etc etc... [I have an eclectic taste in music]Try as I might, I couldn't get to the bottom of this, I suspect that the hard disc is on the way out so started looking around for another player and came across this one.I already had a 64gb card, so with that inserted, this little device has the same capacity as the Ipod. One box ticked. If you've ever looked at the file structure of an Ipod Classic, you'll see what a mysterious thing it is, I wanted something where the file structure was 'normal' and I could drag and drop files / directories straight into it without using a restrictive system like Itunes, which baulks at installing files which i have ripped from my own CDs. This device allows me to do this. Two boxes ticked.I wanted Bluetooth to use wireless head phones, I have a plug in Bluetooth unit for the ipod but it is clumsy, [and cost almost as much as this little player] this device has it built in. Three boxes ticked.I wanted something decent, I've had cheap throw away players before and they were rubbish. Neither did I want to spend £200+ on another Ipod. This unit was just under £26, is made of metal and feels solidly built. Four boxes ticked.I have to say that at 74 years of age, my hearing is not what it once was, but I cannot make out any real difference between the sound quality of the Ipod and that of this device, in fact, if anything, I think this device has the edge on the ipod for sound quality. It sounds brilliant to me. Five boxes ticked. The menu system on this is a bit crude compared to the Ipod, but it works fine once you get the hang of it, lets not forget I am comparing a £26 device against a £200+ one. I don't use all the bells and whistles on the ipod and I won't use the voice recorder or radio on this device, all I want from either of them is to listen to my music. To sum up, I am absolutely delighted with it, for a £26 device it has surpassed my expectations in both sound quality and build quality. Money well spent.

Cheap and chearfull
It works but don't expext miracles on such low budget device. Screen is not touch and menu is really like from 1990's :)

Cheap and not cheerful
Don't waste your time with this. The majority of the time the buttons don't work and you have to turn it off and on again to stop it playing. Randomly forgets where you were and switches to another track. Fast forward is incredibly slow, which is a problem if you're listening to anything longer than a few minutes and it has lost your place. Don't buy this unless you really want to annoy someone.
