What is the difference between the "CANON RP-108" and the "Canon KP-108IN" photo papers?

I believe why Canon introduced the RP-108 is because the patent/copyright protection of the KP-108IN ran out. You can now see third party companies selling “knock-off” versions of the KP-108. So Cannon made a “new” line of printers that use only the “new” (patent/copyright protected) RP-108 kits. Same way Kuerig introduced a 2.0 machine with 2.0 K-cups when the original K-cups went out of patent protection. My advice... Get the “old” version of the Selphy printer, so you can buy the KP-108IN kits. That way as “knock offs” for the KP-108IN kits become cheaper, you can buy those. If you buy a “new” Selphy that only uses the RP-108 kits, then you will be forced to by Original Equipment Canon kits for many years to come.

Does this work with CP-1300? I keep reading reviews saying it doesn't work.

It works perfectly with my CP-1300.

What is the difference CP90 printer one being black and the other white? There is a $20 price difference but what else.

If you mean the CP900, there is an upgrade in the wireless functionality with the 910. Per PCMag, the 910 has AccessPoint, which means :you can print from your smartphone or tablet simply by turning the printer on, launching Canon's Easy-PhotoPrint app on your Android, iOS, or Windows RT device, picking a picture, and giving the print command-no wires needed. You also don't need a network with a Wi-Fi access point or a connection between the printer and a network. "

Is matte paper available?

I do not know. Perhaps you could search for that. But the Selphy does not recommend a matte paper.
