This is MIDI type B, and not compatible with MIDI type A
The two standards (A/B) for MIDI DIN-1/8" conversion are wired differently from each other and are not compatible. I bought it for a Korg unit, whose (woefully incomplete in many ways) documentation doesn't specify which standard it uses (A, in its case, which I now know), which this description doesn't specify either (it's type B). Apparently A is now the "official" standard for MIDI, and B is the official standard for certain applications, maybe?Either way, this is a type B (as in Boy, Beta, Bravo, etc.) interface, so be sure you know which type you need (I didn't know, I didn't even know there were different standards).

Wired incorrectly for MIDI - completely
This will not work for A or BI did impedance check and the TRS side does not line up with Type A or Type B, as the "center" or "ring" on the TRS side is connected to an end pin.

Not a MIDI cable
Like the other reviews say, this cable doesn't work for MIDI. Pretty much a scam considering how it's listed.

TYPE-B Cable, it doesn't work for Boss pedals.
This is a MIDI Type-B cable. It won't work for Boss pedals or any pedal that requires a Type-A cable.

Cable not wired correctly
Buyer beware. This cable is not connected to midi standard and will not work with midi based equipment.
