Great Budget Programmable ESC, but Error in Item Description
I bought an Onyx Motor/ESC combo several months ago when upgrading my Arrma Senton's brushed motor to brushless. The motor is still holding up well but the Onyx ESC failed spontaneously so it was time for another upgrade. I have a Hobbywing setup in my TRX4 and have been very happy with it so far, so I decided to get another Hobbywing product for my Arrma. The ESC arrived quickly and well packaged and best of all- came with some awesome stickers!I think it's clear in the description, but you should be aware that you'll need to solder on your battery adapter of choice- this ESC does not come with a battery plug (deans, ec3, tamiya, xt60, etc.) so you'll have to add your own. This is pretty typical of hobby-grade equipment, but just something to be aware of.Also, be aware that the motor wire plugs are 4mm, my motor has 3.5mm plugs so an adapter was necessary- not a big deal, but just something to make sure you keep in mind. There is a somewhat significant error in the description though regarding the number of parameters available on the ESC. The picture and description state/imply that this ESC has overheat protection, motor rotation, and cell count programmability, but it does not. These parameters are included on the QuicRun-WP-8BL150, but NOT the WP10BL60 as you can see in my picture of the user manual.I will update my review if I have any problems with this ESC, but so far, so good!

Not too many tuning options but for its price it works great for begginers and bashers
Simple yet efficient. Not too many tuning options but for its price it works great for begginers and bashers. I have it on my daughters Racing Slash wit proline chassis and a 10.5T motor and its stable and give us no issues..Would buy again!!

Unplug the cooling fans when running in rain and snow and it will last forever.
This esc exceeded my expectations. It has ran underwater and in snow well over 10 times. It reliably powered a very dense 7.5lb 1/10th redcat lightning stk on a 3900kv motor for a couple months until I decided to blow it up on a 7700kv motor. Even then, it still took an absolute beating. Was able to run it for a total of an hour and a half powering a motor waaay beyond what it’s supposed to support. (Note: this was all outdoor in the winter, though it had no problem at all with the 3900kv motor through 2 3s batteries on an odd 60 degree day.)
