Something happens in the book world that I think just about every reader can relate to and would agree with. When you pick up a book from a new author, you have expectations going in. Mostly, am I going to like the story? Will I be entertained, engrossed, feel a rollercoaster of emotions? And for me at least, the biggest question is: will I connect with this author? When I purchased Naked by Raine Miller in the Spring of 2013, I had heard nothing but great things about her and her writing, so I was very anxious to read it and see if I agreed with all of the praise readers and bloggers alike were giving her.I devoured Naked. Breathed it in and felt it deep inside. And then I proceeded to inhale and devour All In and Eyes Wide Open. Luckily for me the first three books in the Blackstone Affair were available so I didn't have to wait for more of the story. And I was hooked. I read the first three books and then re-read them countless times while we waited for book 4 in the series. And I read her historical stories while I waited as well and fell head over heels for a certain Italian speaking Mr. Rourke. Every book Raine released, I snatched up and devoured. Why am I telling you all of this? Because I love her writing. Her stories, her style, her words, all touch me on a very deep, personal level. It's like she just "gets me" and writes these books for me. I read just about every single day, tons and tons of books by so many different authors. And there have been a lot of really great stories written by a lot of really great authors. But I can count on one hand the number of authors whose books have resonated deep inside and had a lasting effect on me. Raine tops that list.When Raine first announced she was starting a new series of books that would center around an American Blackstone Dynasty, I was beside myself!! In this first book of the new series, we meet Caleb Blackstone, a filthy rich, super hot alpha male who dare I say, had me swooning for him as much as my beloved Darius!! Raine has an uncanny talent for creating incredibly sexy, protective alpha males that make your panties wet and your heart melt! And she is equally talented in creating heroines who have suffered many trials in life but have come out the other side stronger and wiser from the experiences. Such is the case here with Caleb and Brooke Casterley. From the first glance at Brooke, Caleb is drawn to her in a way that he has never been drawn to a woman before. And he's been with his fair share of the opposite sex, so what is it about this woman that sets her apart? It's more than her beauty and that sexy British accent she has.As Caleb gets to know Brooke, he falls deeper and deeper under her spell and becomes more and more obsessed with being her protector, her lover, her everything. He remembers something his father had once told him, "When you find whatever it is that makes you happy, Caleb, hold onto it with everything you've got. Your heart will let you know." Brooke is equally as smitten with Caleb, but events from her past cause her to be much more cautious about giving her heart to someone. Add to her hesitancy is the fact that she is a plain old working class girl and Caleb is a billionaire from a very prominent family. How is this going to work? She feels the odds are stacked against them from the get go.I fell really hard for Caleb and Brooke. They fit together so incredibly well. They play off each other's strengths and provide support to each other in their weaknesses. Theirs is a classic, timeless kind of love. I laughed with them, shed a tear or two with them, I melted and fanned myself on more than one occasion. I absolutely adore the supporting cast of characters and cannot wait to see what their back stories are. I particularly love Brooke's Nan and Caleb's Uncle Herman and seeing where their path took them.I don't want to delve too deeply into the storyline because I want everyone to experience it for themselves. Raine's books are the kind that I wish I could erase from my memory and get to experience all over again for the first time. I hope everyone picks up Filthy Rich and gets to know Caleb and Brooke. I feel pretty confident you will fall in love with them just like I did!

I just popped my Raine Miller cherry and it was freaking awesome!Filthy Rich by Raine Miller is without a doubt a must read and up there with my top books of 2016.As soon as I began to read it, I knew I was going to like it and found myself reading it at every opportunity available. It engrossed me - the story, the characters, the connections between the characters, all bundled together was nothing less than an absolute fantabulous read.The story follows Caleb Blackstone and Brooke Casterley. I fell for Brooke straight away. At first she comes across as a kick ass female with some serious sass but that is certainly not the case! She has so much history for you to discover you will just fall for her all over again! Then there is Caleb….Caleb, Caleb, Caleb, where will I find me one of those!? OMG if Raine wanted to write me my ideal man then damn she did it to perfection! He is HOT and sexy and swoon worthy, but sweet and dedicated and every god damn thing you would want from a man! These two characters together will make your insides melt! Not to mention all the others you stumble upon along the way!But don't be fooled, their story may not be simple! It has twists and turns like any good romance does - and Raine brings you along for the ride! You will be CAPTIVATED, CONSUMED, and generally absent from everyday life while reading this book!Raine Miller is one of “those” authors I talk about every now and then. The ones that make magic on a page, that trap you from that very first word until the very end. She certainly had me and I guarantee she will have you too. If you've read Pink Shades of Words: Walk 2016 then you will have already had a glimpse of Caleb and Brooke,If not then say hello to the new Mr swoonworthy Blackstone.On the outside Caleb seems to have it all looks, charm and more money then the Bank of England, then there is Brooke who is worried how to pay for her Grandmother's care after her hip surgery. Brooke has had a lot of loss for someone so young, she is also just recovering from a horrific accident that left more than the scars on the outside and an abusive marriage, but she has the most amazing heart even after everything she has been through.Their first meeting is a total accident, but Caleb can't seem to stop thinking about her. at an event later that night Caleb sees Brooke working and it seems like fate is working in his favour. After a rather nasty incident Brooke loses her job and Caleb nearly loses her again. But Caleb being who he is quickly discovers everything about Brooke.In this beautiful book Raine is back to giving us totally rocking stories with all the heart and emotions you expect from her.This book is a must for all Raine's fan old and new.Caleb will make you swoon and Brooke's strength will make you adore her.

I absolutely love Raine Miller's books. I have read them all, so I really couldn't wait to read this. I pre-ordered months ago as this is one author I will not hesitate to one click. I will say I was not disappointed in this book. It was definitely worth the wait!Caleb Blackstone is like the title says 'Filthy Rich' but he is sooo much more than that! I don't think there is anything I don't like about him. In fact, I think he would be everything you could wish for. I love him!!Brooke is such a lovely character, I love her too. She, however, has been through some very difficult times but on the road to recovery and of course she thinks the last thing she needs is a man. Well, that is until she crosses paths with Caleb Blackstone.... Can she overcome her demons enough to give Caleb a chance, or will she manage to push him away? You will have to one click to find out!I love both characters, sometimes when you read a story you feel like slapping the main characters for their stubbornness… etc. Not these characters, Raine has written it in a way that nothing about these two could frustrate you. I absolutely loved it. I couldn't recommend it enough!!A Book Lover's Emporium.

I'm a little perplexed and sad. Because I didn't love it. For me it had too many similarities with the naked series, and while I absolutely love those books, I was expecting something different. This was like it had simply been edited. Too strong? maybe.Brooke celeb were sweet. But nothing actually happened. Brooke cried every second with happiness, sadness, and everything in between, apparently she has a condition that makes her cry. Good luck to him thenThe story started so stongly, I was practically salivating, I but then tailed off. I felt as if I had been slapped in the face.Sometimes It takes me reading a book twice before I can make a firm decision. I certaintly didn't hate it. But I think I wanted to love it so badly, I could be a tad harsh in my initial assessment.

I was privileged and honored to read this most beautiful book. Sighs.Raine has yet again written a love story that made my heart very big and fall madly in love with Caleb and Brooke.All of Raine's books have done this to me.Caleb Blackstone is filthy rich, successful and extremely handsome but wants more. He wants Brooke and takes great lengths to find out more about her.Brook Casterley a British interior designer. She is beautiful inside and out but with a very sad past that has changed her life dramaticallySecondary characters in this book are all very delighful in there own way.Will they get there HEA!!!!
