3 Way Aluminum Cb or Ham Antenna Aluminum Mirror Mount with Stud

You can use it for CB and HAM radio antenna that mounted onto trucker's mirror mount.

Heavy duty, I had to redrill one set of mounting holes. Hole was out of round and threads were ruined on bolt

I’m not using it as a mirror-mount antenna connector. I attached it to a 12” railroad tie spike and use it for a ground-mounted vertical antenna. (amateur radio) The antenna works well and it doesn’t blow over in the wind like my previous tripod mount did.

The SO-239 will not accept the center connector of a soldered or crimped PL-259. I tried both and both were a no go. Yes, that’s very irritating, but the aluminum mount alone is worth the price in my opinion, which is why I gave it four stars. Fortunately, I had a 3/8x24 to SO-239 on hand from American Radio Supply (they make excellent products) and it worked perfectly with the mount. The ARS part number is SM-1 and it costs 7.99. Alternatively, you could buy the AM-302 which is the aluminum mount with the SM-1.

I'm using this mount for a Shark Hamstick antenna. Fits perfectly and let's me mount the whole thing onto a vertical pole to create a quick-deploy vertical antenna. Simple, but I'm happy with it.

Liked it so much I bought two of them! I have one on a ground stake, bought a second to go on a 14ft fiberglass mast. Stick a whip antenna on the end and - bang! On the air with great range and 59 signal reports.Reasonably priced and fast delivery too!

The SO-239 center female contact was 0.010" undersized compared to standard PL-259 center male pin.I must have checked a dozen PL-259 pins and they were all within +/- 0.001".A properly sized drill took care of the undersized contact; fit and connection is now good, continuity good, and got the project completed.Get what you pay for, I reckon. Avoid unless you like working on new stuff.Total lack of quality control on this item.
