Overall an excellent product, though there are a few things...
First let me get the basics out of the way - this looks great and sounds great. I bought two mini DAB+ radios recently, and I don't regret either - the other is much lighter, and more pocketable. But isn't a Bluetooth speaker and doesn't sound as warm. This sounds shockingly good for a small radio - but do not think it's pocket size. From the front it is, but it's very thick. The reception is good - but if you need a bit extra, the easy to lose and ugly wire external antenna will disappoint. It's also not much better than the built-in antenna in my area. The sound is warm and gentle - nice for a background music in a quiet room. Better than the pocket radio I bought and well-suited to the intended audience looking something with a vintage feel. There are a couple anachronisms in the design that detract from it - and I'm not referring to the fact it's DAB+ and Bluetooth. Those are technical features to make a vintage design useful in the modern world. I'm referring to design anachronisms. First, and most visible most of the time is the monochrome OLED display. This is a relatively modern display tech and feels very cold. While for DAB a display is clearly essential, the other pocket radio I bought has an amber-backlit monochrome LCD display. Still 1980s-esque, and an anachronism for the radio's design, but not nearly so harsh and obvious as the OLED display. Second is the blue LED for Bluetooth. Monochromatic blue LEDs are modern, cold, harsh and go against the rest of the design aesthetic. A warm white LED with a blue filter over it would look much more like a classic indicator lamp and allow "blue" to be portrayed with a much warmer feeling. Oh, and one usability thing - a back button would be nice :)

Seriously astounding product!!
I am SO delighted with this little Roberts radio - it's probably my favourite product I've ever bought from Amazon! It's incredibly stylish, it's rugged, it's very easy to use/program... and it's really tiny but has a big audio sound. It's a good price too. And when full charged the battery goes on for hours and hours! I don't normally leave Amazon reviews, but with this I just had to - I cannot praise it highly enough. 6 stars if I could!!

Mighty cute!
An amazingly mighty sound, for such a cute, petite, feminine footprint of a radio! Incredible! Don’t hesitate! Expensive, but oh so worth it. Only this missing is a carry handle - I’ve now bought a little pouch for carrying it around the house! Superb reliability and booming sound quality once again from Roberts.

Surprisingly good sound
This sits on my bathroom window ledge and has a much fuller sound than you would expect. I’m lucky that I have a strong DAB signal so the cable aerial supplied isn’t needed. But I only get a good signal on the BBC national multiplex, I’d need the aerial for the local commercial stations as they are a bit warbly. It’s great for speech (BBC Radio 4), and sounds good for music too. I’d recommend.

A wonderful sound from such a small box and Bluetooth as well. Fabulous.
A wonderful sound from such a small box and Bluetooth as well. Fabulous and good looking too. Amazing product which functions well as a bedside radio. Think I might have to buy its larger cousin for the kitchen.

A mixed bag
Having garnered a stellar What Hi-Fi review, this DAB looked like the one we'd been searching for. I am therefore bemused that ours is not quite living up to the hype, sound-wise. Do we have a bad copy? Pros: * Design is fabulous (although the 'pink' is a rather 'dirty' shade, not vibrant). * Small and solid. * Superb battery life. * Relatively easy to use. Cons * The sound is nowhere near as good as I anticipated. Whilst it might be better than a radio alarm, it is thinner in sound (weak on the bass). I thought it would be a richer tone. There is good clarity and volume, if needed though. * At this price point, a *disgraceful* cheap wire for an external antenna. * A minor gripe, but I would prefer the front dial to be for volume (not tuning), whereas the volume is controlled by push buttons (+/-). * No way to attach this to any external speakers (no headphone jack, no line-out, no bluetooth-out). * Charging only by USB (and no 3-pin charger included). For the price, I expected more.

Fab little radio
I love my radio! It’s very good quality, the sound is very clear, even at higher levels and it looks so great in my new kitchen too! It is small but doesn’t bother me at all. A few other reviews said to buy a telescopic aerial and I did. The aerial which comes with it is a wire one which is a little awkward to place, I found the telescopic aerial is better for most stations.

Tolles Radio
