Surprized
Completely surprised that it cranked immediately ran fine and going through break in fine. I will write back if it dies and I don't rush break in and I use breakin oil.

Stay away!
Bought this as a Chrismas gift for my son. I'm a little rusty but I have plenty of experience with gas rc cars. It took me over 2 hrs to finally get this thing started but would instantly die. After 3 or 4 times of that it would never start again. I figured I would eventually get it but after getting sick for 3 weeks and then having surgery it was put on the back burner. Just brought the car to a hobby shop as they have a service tech that will work on these. Within 2 seconds of seeing the car they knew exactly what it was a said "I can spend two hours working on ot for you but it still won't run." Apparently these are known to the shops to be horrible. Can return it now as it's to late. We never got to drive it.

works great. very fast
Starts up right out of the box. I did have to do a little tuning. Wasn't too impressed with the igniter that came with the car, so i bought a better one. I read some reviews that said the transmission is junk, or the engine is junk. I would have to disagree 100% I have run over a gallon of fuel through it. that equals hours and hours of runtime. I would suggest watching some videos about breaking in the engine and tuning the fuel mixture, if you want the same positive results as me. As far as the transmission goes, keep it clean, no lubrication is needed. Grease will only make the dirt stick. Don't hit jumps in 2nd gear or while it is shifting or you're asking for trouble. Even traxxas cars don't handle that very well. Anyhow I think it is a good beginner car for anyone who wants to try out the nitro hobby without forking out 500 .

Does run..
I have many rc's and this is my first nitro. It only runs for 3-4 minutes tops out of the box. I did a break in period And then tuned it. After about 15 tanks of gas 2 gear stopped engaging but not a deal breaker. Tuned it hauls but. Will do dounuts easily on dry pavement. Over all it pretty cool. Got mined for $ 216

Needed a little work!
Overall this has been a fun little car. I personally am experienced with nitro motors. And I did struggle to get the tuning set just to get the break-in process but once I got it to run, it runs great. Would recommend if you have some experience with Nitro RCs.

4 hours if total run time before complete engine failure
Update: after replacing the connecting rod and retuning the engine it ran fine for about 2 and a half more hours nice and rich before the 2 speed stopped working the crank case split and it's full of black oil. Engine couldn't run another way but rich and now doesn't run at all .TL:DR: Mine ate a connecting rod bushing after tank 9 while trying to keep it from blowing up. It didn't work, and now I'm scratching my head at a solution for a replacement as this buggy is a lot of fun. Followed the break in instructions, kept it a little rich, pre-heated the head for the first 5 tanks before ever trying to drive the car and everything was working nicely. Even the next 3 tanks of low speed crawling around the yard went nice. I used the same 0% nitro blend that I've been using in my cox thimble drome engines so I know there was more than enough oil. Decided to try and get the 2 speed to engage and it softly died when bringing it back for an adjustment. It felt gritty so I pulled the plug and saw the coil was crushed. Fast forward a few days to when I got around to getting it ready to start and noticed pitting on the top of the piston. After pulling the head I saw a ton of metal debris, and even more in the crankcase, but couldn't find anything wrong until I tried to reassemble it and noticed the amount of play in the connecting rod (it was locked up from its own bushing). AH HA! That's where the bronze is coming from! It was everywhere and in everything. Other than the engine issues, this car is an absolute blast and the remote mine came with was fairly snappy with almost no percicable input delay. Tires came glued. Everything was almost set up out of the box and I was starting to have a ton of fun before it self destructed 😅
