RiteAV - Audio Video RCA Cable (3 feet)

Do you remember when you opened the box to your new VHS VCR about 20 years ago? These are the same type of cables that came in the box. If you are too young to remember 20 years ago, the VHS VCR was a tape recording device to record TV shows. I'm hooking my old VCR to my new HD receiver and needed some cables to do the job. The picture is only at 480 resolution so I don't need a lot of bandwidth and this cable will allow me to watch those old TV shows. Eventually, I'll use this cable to transfer my old "In Living Color" and who knows what else to DVD. I think that these cables are fine for low end use and the price is great.

An Unbelievable Price for 6 Feet of RCA Cable, if I tell you how much I paid for the same cable at that place with the red and white circles, you will not believe me, 4 times as much. I wish I had checked here first. The RiteAV- Audio Video RCA is also of very good quality I had compared it to others I have and it's pretty much the same even though I paid lots more for the others, and it works Fine. The RiteAV Audio-Video RCA Cables ordered from AmaMax.com are great. The rubberized insulation around each of the three joined leads is strong and durable. The extra strength of these cables is resistant to kinking and works efficiently in all installations. Each connecting jack is gold-tipped, which makes for a superior connection for both video signals and R/L audio signals; pure picture and sound without noise or distortion. The sellers, AmaMax.com, are superb! Five stars is indicative of the professional, friendly service that this vendor provides. Not only did they provide very quick, economical service, but also willingly absorbed the loss for having sent 6-ft cables instead of the 3-foot cables that were ordered after they were advised of the shipping error. This was a delightful transaction and I will certainly be doing business with this vendor again.

This is a fairly simple product, and it does what it is supposed to do. I did get more than I needed, but pleased to not notice any loss of image quality or anything even at 25 ft length. I'm not going to be connecting and disconnecting this over and over again so I won't be able to judge the long-term quality. The only odd problem with the cable I received was that one end had 2 red colored connectors. I figured out which one was the real red one, and marked it with a black marker so I'd know for when I have to disconnect it. It's odd that this would make it through quality control (mayber there isn't any) but I'm not really going to take anything off the rating just because of a coloring issue. It doesn't take rocket science to figure out which one is correct and label it.

These cables changed my life! I gasped with joy when I opened the package and saw them: the brilliant red, the yellow like sunshine, the pristine white, all set against the background of gleaming ebony...I cried as I held them in my trembling hands. They are beautiful, in their humble way. I was tempted to toss out my Picasso and drape these on the wall instead. But, I really wanted to hook up my TV. So I did, and these magnificent cables did not fail at their task. The expansive 12-foot length performed as advertised, easily reaching the four feet between my DVD players and the back of the TV. I'm no engineer myself, but the gods (they must be gods) provided small tabs labeling each plug (Audio-R, Audio-L, Video), just in case color-coding was too baffling. Now, however, I find it hard to concentrate on any DVD I'm watching; I keep thinking about those glorious, perfect, shiny cables dangling behind the TV. Who cares if Ilsa leaves Rick, or Rhett leaves Scarlett? My RiteAV Audio-Video 12ft cables will never let ME down. I'm so happy!

Why pay a gazillion dollars to one of the big box stores that have to mark up these things to make up for some of the sale prices on products that use them? I bought this cable to go with a Sony DVP-SR200P/B DVD Player, Black (also a very good deal on Amazon) that came with a 3 foot cable that was too short for where I needed to locate dvd player from the wall mounted TV. This cable works just fine and it arrived in two days with Prime shipping. It seems pretty sturdy and well made so we'll probably get a lot of use from it.

Three stars equals OK. The reason I ordered this particular set is that the yellow cable in the picture was clearly much larger in diameter than the other two. Upon receipt I find that all lines are the same size, the usual skinny cabling that comes with AV units. Thus, I downgrade this cable to three stars. The AV cable, basically is OK, and the plugs are not gold plated. The picture might lead you to think plating might be other than standard; don't let it. I don't like being misled by this "fulfilled by Amazon" item picture, and therefore am writing this review to prevent you from inferring anything. Edit: March 4, 2012--I see that since my original review, the picture has been corrected to represent truth. Kudos to whomever was responsible.

So far, I've burned about 50 DVDs with this thing. Works like a champ. Connected and worked easily with my Lenovo laptop that didn't have a DVD drive. I thought it would be more expensive to get a DVD drive. Made the project much cheaper than sending them off to be done by a video conversion service.
