Great Product
You need this if you use an OBD meter, and work on your engine simultaneously. It allows you to see the OBD readouts while working in the engine compartment.

Works great as Extender of OBD Port
I purchased this to use on my 2004 4Runner where I have to jumper 2 pins on OBD together to reset the yaw sensor (the Innova won't reset the sensor on the 4Runner). It is too difficult to get under dash to do the manual reset so I use the cable as extender and the job became very easy. I now use it as an extender between my Innova 5610 and any car I hook up the card reader to.

It is essential for your wired, bi directional scanner.
Its essential as at some point you will HAVE to be outside your car while activating/checking parts while working with a scanner, and this is a great length and a very solid connection. As for ease of use....you plug your scanner in one end, and the other under your dash :)

at first I reported it was dead, and did not work, but the vehicle had a blown fuse,

Good quality Cable.
The cable is a quality product. Connector ends are solid and secure very well. Cable length is enough to extend any reader to an easy to access point away from the OBD connector inside the vehicle.

OBD2 can be used in engine bay
Build quality is mediocre, but it is working for now. Definitely nice to be able to take the wired scanner into the engine bay.

Comes in handy.
I use this a work. I use it conjunction with my Bluetooth Scan Tool. I connect the BlueTooth scan tool dongle to the extension cable. This way I am less likely to forget it and or loose the device in the customers vehicle.
