Now I tend to go through several chains a year as I clock up a lot of milage and chains wear relatively quickly on a heavily loaded weighty Ebike. The Ybeki 9 speed 116 link chain appeared to be of similar quality and spec to my usual brand of chains and my bike was due a new chain so I thought I’d give it go.Now at this price it’s in competition with big brands such as Shimano and KMC so it needs to be good and good it is! The quality and finish is comparable and it is relatively lightweight 9 speed chain. The chain is well constructed and the links move freely without play. There are 3 quick links included and an invaluable quick link release tool which makes for easy chain removal without the mess.A chain link removal/splitter tool is needed to obtain a desirable chain length and tension but they are relatively cheap if you don’t have one already.One fitted and lubed I decided to take the bike out for a couple of hours, and I have to say I was impressed by the performance of the chain as it is solid under load and had no problem coping with the added torque of an ebike mid motor.In summary, it offers good value for what is included and it runs quietly and smoothly with crisp gear changes that makes it compare more than favourably with my usual brand. Definitely exceeded my expectations and I’d happily recommend.SB

Cheap Chinese rubbish, 3 days of commuting to work and 3 links seized solid.

This is an excellent chain set, you pretty much get everything needed to replace your existing chain without buying any more tools.This chain is great quality, nicely oiled, decent chain thickness and what I really like is that multiple quick release links are also provided but are the same thickness and quality of the chain giving confidence that this is a decent product.Also supplied is a quick link tool to assist with fitting the chain which makes this something you can do rather than taking it to a bike repair shop.Furthermore there is a useful wire link that is used to connect both ends of the chain whilst you then connect the quick release as the gear mechs on your bike make this challenging as tension wants to pull both apart whilst trying to fit.There are loads of videos on YouTube that help with installation of a new chain which I recommend looking at if it’s your first time changing a chain.Finally it’s important that you check the chain length and make sure it matches the one you remove from your bike and this may reveal that links need to be removed, you may therefore need a link removal tool and these are very reasonably priced and a worthy accessory to own if your a regular cyclist.Overall a great product and highly recommend.

This chain is ok. It seems reasonably heavy duty.I wouldn’t say it compares and competes with the top, more well known brands but if you need a temporary chain then this is a worthy option.The old adage of ‘you buy cheap, you buy twice’ springs to mind here.It’s also good value for the price considering you get the tool with it. I have tried out a few of these cheaper chains one is still on my MTB and done quite a few miles, I use a chain wear tool to keep a check on the wear of my chains and so far the cheap version is doing ok, this chain looks identical so I have faith that this should wear just as well, it is nicely silver plated so looks good and the plating should and so far has with my other chain kept the rust at bay but I am for ever cleaning and re oiling after a ride so would not expect it to rust anyhow.This comes with three speed links, I have been using this type of fixing for many years very simple to join the chain, just put one link on each end of the chain, you can use the chain keeper to hold the chain so it does not keep falling off and then just press the two sides together give the chain a pull or just stand on the peddle and the link should just snap in place, removal is just as easy, the tool is supplied just fit the jaws between the links and squeeze together the links should move inwards and unclip so you can pull them apart so easy to remove for maintenance.
