This is a plush and well made affordable hat but the XL size for larger heads is HUGE. My head is large and I regularly have to buy L/XL hats but I was swimming in this thing. I measured my head and this seemed like the size for me but unless you have a seriously giant sized melon you should probably go for the standard hat size.
