A few months ago I bought the new Nikon Zfc crop sensor camera. The supplied kit lens is a 16-50mm f/3.5 - 6.3 zoom and is relatively "slow" (IE. in order to get a half-decent exposure in these dull grey days, I have to increase the ISO to anywhere between 400 - 1600). To date, Nikon have yet to release any primes for the Zfc, so I had to look elsewhere for a "faster" lens. After much research, I settled on the new Viltrox 33mm (a 35mm equivalent of 49mm) f/1.4. Wow! What a difference. For £284.00 I am well impressed with this level of DoF and speed of exposure. I hardly ever have to have a higher ISO than 100, even on the most ovrcast days. If anybody owns a Nikon Zfc or Z50, and is after a super fast prime without breaking the bank, check out this Vitrox.

Doesn’t work on top range Z9. Luckily I have Z7 too

Bought this because I wanted a good quality standard "fast" lens. Comes complete with a metal petal lens hood. Impressed with the results so far.

The lens itself is of a decent quality and of a good build what lets it down is the lens hood.If you are producing a wide angle lens it would make sense to provide a lens hood doesn’t cut the corners off on your photos.Take note of this if you are thinking of buying a Viltrox and check the hood out before the return date expires.
