solid knife
Very underrated knife. Comes sharp enough to shave with, holds a edge long and sharpens easy. Only complaint is the sheath has no belt loop but easily fixed with a teklok.

It's not a Big Cat!
In terms of overall appearance this knife is well suited, came with a bunch of bells and whistles. When put to the test...meaning bush related tasks...it did not perform well at all. I'm calling bull ish on the whole German steel thing. This knife has more edge folds than a poor mans wallet. Crap steel, really...crap steel. Don't waste your money on this.

Sturdy knife for the woods
A very heavy-duty knife it feels nicely balanced in my hand. I do wish the sheath had a belt loop

Already owned the shorter version of this for some time ...
Already owned the shorter version of this for some time and really appreciate the heft, balance and quality. I ordered the tan handle and got it, but the black grip was already attached and I needed to put the tan on myself.

@ $39.99 Price, Compare this to Buck, Gerber
This knife is awesome for $40 . If u compare this blade to Buck or Gerber, check the value. This blade is over 2 times as thick as my Buck Reaper, 3 times as thick steel as my Gerber CFB knife. The review that says crap steel, guy must have gotten a defective blade. This is one of my favorite blades. As for the sheath, simply add a Tek Lok , around $12 , belt loop problem solved. I own over 50 fixed blades, this Puma is in my top 5 for sure. Buy it , u will love it. I would not hesitate to grab my Puma Big Cat 12 if the SHTF, or I needed a reliable Survival Knife.Update: I added my Buck Mesa to the Big Cat 12 sheath with zip ties, i plan on getting some chicago screws for a cleaner look. I have the Tek Lok angled for slanted belt carry. My new favorite set up !! 5 starsUpdate : I added a fire steel and a Lansky Sharpener to the factory Puma Kydex sheath, removed my Buck Mesa knife. 5 Frickin Stars
