Part of the With this ring/I thee we'd duet but with different main characters
Another good read by this author and it ties up all the loose ends that we were left with in the With this ring/Ithee wed duet.Great characters and Mara was a really strong character, Dante was aswell they could walk off the page. The story picks up five years after I thee wed ended so you do need to read this duet before beginning Stolen.Dante has finally found Mara who was trafficked and sold by the Mexican cartel. What follows is a fast paced dark romance with plenty of action, the story does become predictable although I did enjoy reading it. Told in dual POV and heat is 5/10There are bits in about IVI which is a secret society and one of this authors recent trilogies with a new and intriguing character that I'm hoping will get a book soon.

Destiny
This book follows on from the “To have to hold” duet. The story is told in dual perspective by Dante and Mara.I haven’t read the duet before reading Dante and Mara’s story. I found that I got on okay and followed the story well, I think I could go back and read the duet to learn more of the back story if I wanted to.Mara was taken from when she was 5 years old and given to a Russian man, Petrov. It’s 15 years later and Mara has been branded by Petrov and is being sold on as prostitute now.Dante won’t stop until he has Mara safe with him. 5 years ago he tried to save her, but after the explosion he lost eye sight in one of his eyes and was injured. It took him 5 years to track her down again. He isn’t letting anything or anyone stopping him this time.Mara is terrified when she is taken by Dante, she doesn’t recognise him, considering it has been 15 years and he wears an eye patch now, it’s no surprise. She remembers Dante from her childhood and says that Dante wouldn’t have let her get taken, which makes her think this isn’t Dante. Mara thinks that this is a test set by Petrov and she thinks she needs to get back to Petrov quickly otherwise the punishment would be worse. She is so scared, she doesn’t know any different. This is her life.Dante wants to take away her pain, her nightmares and make it all go away. He just wants to make sure she is safe. He won’t stop until everyone that touched her is dead. Can Mara finally be safe from these men, or will she be subjected to life of fear and trafficking forever?Dante and Mara start to have a connection people close to them say that it’s a hero complex and that Mara just feels this way because Dante saved her. Could this be right? Could Mara never be able to live a normal life? Will she ever have a happily ever after?𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝘼𝙍𝘾

Five Swoony Stars
What a way to start October! A five star read right out the gate; though in fairness, I don't think I'd expect less from Natasha Knight! Her work is so polished. It's literally flawless. Pun intended. If you've read the perfection that is Cristiano and Scarlett's story (With This Ring and I Thee Take) then you'll be familiar with Cristiano's younger brother Dante. I loved him then but now I freaking ADORE him. He's as damaged internally as he is externally; perhaps even moreso!! For the past five years since discovering his uncle David's deception, he has done nothing but scour the globe for signs of Mara who, when we last met her at the tender age of 15, was sold into s*x slavery to the disgustingly perverted Ivan Petrov. Upon the opening prologues (one from each MCs POVs) we catch up on what's happening now in the present day which is the fact Dante has closed in on Mara's location. That's as much storyline as I'll be disclosing. If you haven't read the previous duet I'd highly advise picking them up first (though I'd imagine you *could* go straight into Stolen BUT it might be hard to follow in places if you chose to do that!)Now for the characters. Oh sweet baby Jesus and all that's holy. I fell head over heels for Mara's avenging angel, Dante. He's the best thing since sliced bread. No lie!! Who doesn't love a kickass, broken anti-hero who adores the ground his woman walks upon?! He's my favourite kind of MMC wrapped in a leather eye patch!!And my GOD, Mara! I would pity her only I know she's too strong and stubborn to need or want my pity. I loved her. Her ability to maintain her innocence and spirit despite the horrors she has endured was epic. The chemistry between these two was OFF. THE. CHARTS! They are like magnets, just drawn to each other inexplicably. And when they come together it's explosive!!I'm hoping to see another book in the same world about Jericho St James, another wronged anti-hero introduced in Stolen. I'll be keeping everything crossed!!My thanks to the author and Give Me Books Pr for an early copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
