Perfect for hunting, pest control and sports shooting, the Photon offers a video output for external recording equipment. Worth every penny!
What can I say... Fantastic for air rifle as it focuses right into about 3 meters when ratting etc the on board IR is of good quality and if using it for 50 yards or less is more than adequate. Adjustable mounts are highly recommended as it will allow you to center your cross hair giving you much more adjustment. The digital zeroing also allows you to make a note of the X and Y axis zeros so can be interchangeable between guns if you spend the time to work out the numbers (always re-check zero first!) For night time use I cant fault this scope. With a T38 IR torch you will be able to see clearly out to 200 yards, the eye relief and soft rubber eye cup suits itself more towards the lower recoiling firearms, air guns, .22rf, .17HMR, .22WMR up to around .223 type recoil will be fine. The black and white display is easy to use and the changeable reticles and colors is a nice personalisation touch. For day use the scope isn't amazing but it usable and it dosnt like being used facing into strong sunlight. I personally use mine with a decent set of QD mounts and so only put mine on when the standard glass day scope starts to struggle. I also love the fact that this is a digital NV set up so you dont have to worry about burning out the sensor in daylight unlike older style NV scopes. The unit itself is no heavier than most decent day scopes and also provides no wires/screens etc to catch like the DIY style NV set ups have. You also still have the ability to record if you want!

A VERY GOOD PRODUCT
I bought this Yukon Night Vison Scope specifically for vermin control on farms. The scope is easy to get to grips with, set up is straight forward and the optics adjustment and controls are laid out in a common sense way.The scope is in effect a low light camera with a build in IR illuminator, it can be used day and night. The scope has a selection styles and colours for the reticle. Zeroing requires you to take one shot while bench resting and then moving the optical cross hair to where the shot landed on the target. Perfect one shot zero. One point to note is that the field of view doesn't quite match a standard scope as it is a lot narrower than you might be used to even thought it is a 6.5x50. The image you see is rectangular rather than round. It runs off two AA batteries and can be connected to a DVR recorder. I would suggest top quality rechargeable batteries, I have found Panasonic Eneloops Pro to be particularly good. One point to note is that I have read some people have had trouble getting a zero as there is not enough adjustment L to R. I did experience this to begin with, however, in my case I was able to adjust the rail on my Bullpup conversion slightly to the left though I think scope rail and not the scope that was at fault.Looking at the forums I have seen that some scopes had to be returned because of this issue. All in all, personally I am very please with this scope, the built in IR is good enough for 50m and can be supplemented by buying a more powerful illuminator. As to value for money, at this price it is excellent.
