Relatively easy to install
I wanted to seal the hole around the water pipe coming through the wall that the tub spout attaches to. I didn’t want water to seep through the wall. This product was perfect for that. After the spout is removed it’s easy to install. I coated the back side of this ring with silicone sealant and pressed it against the shower wall. I then installed the o-ring that slides up to the center of the ring. I re-installed the spout and the job was done. Now the gaps around the hole for the water pipe is completely sealed from water and moisture. Very good product and relatively easy to install.

Did not work
The pipe leaked at the wall area. It needs a better fitting seal at the wall side to be useful.

Good idea but didnt fit
I was hoping to use this behind my new tub spout. I purchased an American Standard brand metal tub spout. One of the most popular ones made. Unfortunately, the base of the tub spout did not fit over this disc. It was too large...not even close.
