This little camera, for the price, does a great job. The focal length of the camera allows a great view of my front porch. The color and clarity are excellent during daylight, and I would rate as good during IR evening. You will spend a little time locating and installing an SD card if you choose to have one - you'll take off the top, unscrew the lens cover, then remove all the tiny philips screws to release the entire unit from the housing. Then it's apparent where the SD card is, but there will be no instructions or photos to help. Also, make sure you don't unscrew the wrong screws, or you'll dismantle the pegs that stack the circuit boards inside. Connectivity was immediate and no issues. I use Static IP and it was simple to set up. The camera could be improved by allowing you to select and store a default language. It will default to, I believe Mandarin, and you have to select English to proceed. No big deal, just annoying to select every time you go to camera. I did contact support because I couldn't figure out immediately why this was supposed to be HD camera and I was only getting 640x320 at best. Support was FAST - SUPER FAST. They not only respond, but the follow-through. I was VERY IMPRESSED. So, not all browsers will support HD. There is software that comes with or on the camera, and that software will also show beautiful HD stream. I'm used to just typing the camera's IP address directly in my browser - and I have to use IE instead of Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. You can still reach the camera, HD just not coming through on all of them. I do use an app called "IP Cam Viewer" on my Android, and this camera plays nicely with everything. I'm not sure that this is my favorite camera, but for the price, I'd absolutely purchase this again, and I would absolutely buy from this company again because of their responsiveness to email. I can't wait to see the other products this company comes out with, they're doing a great job.

Not thrilled with the dimensions of the image, mainly because it made my layout in Blue Iris look stupid having one of 8 cameras be of a different aspect ratio. That's my fault though...Image quality is honestly what I expected for the price, grainy at night, about the same as the 720P cheap (less than forty bucks) IP cameras I have. Reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the setup honestly wasn't a problem, the app isn't really good at all but allowed me to quickly set things up and get Blue Iris kicking, but it's incredibly reliable. Zero issues in the two weeks its been running. Zero.I have this powered from a 12v deep cycle battery in my shed which is fed from a 100w solar panel. Kind of a hacky setup but beat running power out there. This replaced a bullet IP camera from another manufacturer that was powered in the same fashion but fed internet from a travel router serving as a client bridge. Never again - wifi cams all the way - next time in 1080p from SV3CEDIT 8/29/19Doesn't seem like you can buy this camera anymore, but let me just say - I hate this thing. It used to work acceptably (though rather poor quality) until maybe a year and a half ago. Maybe a Blue Iris update nuked it. But if you're running BI 4.x latter versions (shortly before BI5 release), give the settings in the screenshot a try. Whatever I found in this review and anywhere on the internet were incorrect. Perhaps they would have worked with the latest firmware for the camera, but I could not get the goofy - probably virus riddled - firmware update utility to even detect the camera on the network. Worth noting that the entire time, even the year and a half that it didn't work with BI, I could view it through the crap-app. But that was worthless, it was an ornament on my shed and my home got broken in to undetected in that interim.So, since it works with the settings in screen shot, and I have nothing to lose, it's going back outside somewhere else. Definitely not mounted like it was before.. because who knows how long it'll last, and it's just...awful quality. I screwed around with all my junk cams tonight and even the 720p camera I bought 3 years ago for $30 looks 100x better than this one.

UPDATE: After posting my review the seller (SV3C) offered to replace my unit, and before long I had a new one. They explained that my particular unit was part of a bad batch of cameras, and as soon as they were able to get a replacement batch to Amazon (about 10 days) they sent me a new one. I would buy again because the price is great and the camera works as well as much more expensive cameras... but I also encourage SV3C to make it a little easier for customers to contact them for help.----------------------------------I purchased this camera on May 9, it arrived a few days later, and it worked flawlessly as an ONVIF camera in my monitoring system until 6/10/17. I use Zoneminder for tracking my cameras. I left the camera inside my garage, and had intentions of permanently installing it to monitor the outside of my garage.... But now the camera has dropped off of my network completely - I have cycled the power and held the reset button down for a full minute, and it never gets an IP address from the network. The camera is connected with an Ethernet cable that I have tested, and there's no other troubleshooting information available on the SV3C website that has been helpful.The price was great, and the product was great while it worked... but within a week of the return window closing, the camera is dead.

Don't buy its hackable!!! After over a year in use we were shocked to get a notice from our ISP telling us that our IP address was used in a DDOS attack. I research the situation a bit and found that this camera had a telnet port open. I was going to continue my research the next day, when I discovered that someone hacked in and changed the camera settings and rendered it a brick. After researching it further this camera has a major security flaw that can turn it into a member of a botnet. I now have a $40 paperweight and no way to fix it. If this camera is ever available again, don't buy it.
