While I'm not particularly fond of the scent of this shampoo, it's not unbearable and the product is effective. I miss using their other product which contained Neem oil, but unfortunately, it has been discontinued. My hair is very delicate and tends to break easily, giving me the appearance of a neglected doll. Most shampoos only exacerbate this issue, but this brand prides itself on being gentle and using natural ingredients. I have tried two of their products so far, and I am highly impressed. I confidently recommend it for those with fine and fragile hair. My spouse, who has thicker healthier hair, also uses it without any issues such as build-up or greasiness so, I also recommend it for regular hair types.

I have fine hair and this worked well for me. Some of them are slightly off compared to others because they are sticky and don't wash easy. But awesome if paired with another shampoo for a double wash.

I bought this for my scalp psoriasis condition. Seems like good quality shampoo and conditioner but it didn't help with my psoriasis and I have been using this shampoo every other day, alternating with other medicated shampoo. The claims of 'African Black Soaps' might be unique to the individual.

I got the shampoo as a trial product, and I was so pleased with it that I ordered the regular size and the conditioner. It has helped reduce dandruff flakes and leaves my hair feeling clean and super soft. It's got a nice minty scent. I will be ordering the shampoo and conditioner again.

I love alaffias natural ingredients but this duo left my hair greasier than before i washed it! I tried double shampooing and had the same problem. If you like this brand their everyday coconut shampoo is my favorite for cleansing abilities.

I went against my better judgement after reading the negative reviews on this and ordered it anyway. For reference I have Caucasian hair, long and gets oily pretty quickly. I will say it doesn’t smell the best while using but once your hair is dry it doesn’t smell like anything at all. It has already made my scalp feel healthier after just two uses and my hair looks better overall. Has more shine and feels softer. Plus it doesn’t have anything harmful in it (I’m a freak about no chemicals etc) so that was another big factor in why I decided to try it out. Will be repurchasing.

Smells good and works great! It's not a overpowering smell either! I like it!
