Great Gift
I got this mug as a gift for my nerdy boyfriend. He loves it. The style is really cool, looking a lot like colored chalk on a chalkboard. The mug itself is very nicely built. It is a little shorter and wider than most mugs I own, but not in a way that would cause any problems.

Great for chemists & physicists as well!
I have received several compliments on my mug. As a chemist, I was surprised to find so many chemistry and physics related equations... so it is not just for the mathematicians! It is great for physicists and chemists as well. That said, it is funny shaped mug. Short and wide. It holds 11 ounces I believe (and general mugs hold 12 ounces?? - so maybe slightly less volume). The handle is a bit odd as well. It is not very wide, so I put only two of my (female) fingers through it, when usually I would use three fingers on a mug handle, so it could be uncomfortable for some people to hold.I have had it for several months now and not a single chip, so no complaints against the material, though I haven't tried banging it against the sink yet.Plus for those people who never clean their coffee mugs, the great thing about having a black mug is that it doesn't show what you were drinking the day before. And there are definitely several professors out there with disgusting white-turned-brown mugs.UPDATE 08/14: About two years after purchasing this mug, I dropped it on the floor and it broke. So I promptly bought a new one (no brown-stained white mug for me) and it is slightly different. The old one had a clear glaze over the whole mug, so it was shiny black. The one I just received does not, it is more of a matte-gray/black, which I imagine may be to make it look more like a chalk board. Notably, the equations are now the top layer on the mug. I hand-wash only my mug since I just leave it at work, but I was concerned upon seeing this that if you use a dishwasher the equations may wear off (but I can't say for sure since I never put it in a dishwasher). It still has that funky handle I mentioned initially.

My boyfriend and I love this mug!
Bought this for my boyfriend as a gift. He absolutely loves it, the problem is I love it a bit too much and use it more. Will have to purchase another one for me. Overall fantastic mug, images are clear, smooth, durable and great size.

Most unexpected site for GREAT gifts.
I purchased this for my granddaughter as she is graduating from her university this semester with a majot in Mathametics. She was very happy and found this cup with a sense of humor. Enjoys her coffee more now. I was VERY HAPPY to find this and I see another cup for my grandson, who university major is Chemical Engineering. I will purchase that cup when he finishes his 4 year. Both are going on to obtain a Master's degree in each of their fields... so they will continue to study a couple of years more. I was thrilled to find cups that match both of their university majors. It is a nice "store" to match cups with careers. Thank you... Maybe I get on for myself as I have a degree in nursing. :-} I recommend this site for career coffee cups.

Great mug, but slightly short
This is great mug, but it does not have as much depth as I'd have liked a daily use mug to have. if it was a wee bit taller, I'd give it 5 stars.

A great cup for a mathematician, physicist or engineer.
Love the selection of equations. I know them all well (BS, MS, PhD in math, physics, engineering.I leaned all of these equations as a grad student, and then taught them in college classes for many years. To this selection of equations, I would add the Hamilton Jacobi Bellman equation, derived from the principle of least action (on the mug) and the Riccati equation, which I then derive from the HJB.Great fun, and highly recommended for al your mathematically directed friends and relatives,

Fun mug for math and physics geeks :)
A friend of mine had this mug, and I liked it so much I asked where she got it and had to get one myself :) My husband and I both have math and physics backgrounds, so I ordered one for each of us. That was several years ago, and they've held up very well through daily use. We both like them a lot, and always get comments on them. This mug is microwave and dishwasher safe. It's not very noticeable in the picture, but this mug is wider than most mugs. It is also somewhat shorter, but not much. I like the size of it. The quality is good. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a gift for a math/science lover or if you are considering it for yourself.
