Unpretentious Sweet Brown Rice, 1 Gallon, Gluten-Free, Brown Glutinous Rice, Soft & Chewy

I tried this after using up the last of my white sticky rice, but wasn’t sure how it would work for my bamboo leaf wrapped rice dumplings. To my great pleasure, it did at least as well with the added benefit of great flavor. For other uses, it may require more time than white sticky rice, for cooking, like for clay pot rice, but since even for that, you pre soak the rice which gives it internal moisture for cooking, it probably doesn’t need a lot more. The reason brown rice takes longer to cook is the bran layer slowing water absorption for jongzi with an overnight soak, removes that issue. This isn’t an aromatic rice like jasmine or basmati, but it is ever so slightly nutty similar to other brown rices. I won’t be going back to white.

Wow! DELICIOUS sweet nutty sticky brown rice. Had my eye on this item and glad I finally ordered it. I cooked the rice in my rice cooker that has a setting for brown rice. It came out perfect! I made sweet brown rice breakfast bowls with delicious fruit and nut toppings. Plus almond milk, cinnamon, and real maple syrup. The lid of the container takes a bit of muscle but once you figure it out then snap! Be sure to wash your measure of rice twice before cooking. Enjoy!

Really good product

It has a sticky sweetness that reduces sugar cravings. Tastes great even without seasoning and consistency is always nice, never watery. I've been searching for this in bulk for years and will stick up. Wish it was ebt eligible.
