SadoTech Wireless Doorbell for Home - Battery Operated, 1000 Feet, Waterproof Door Bell w/LED Flash, 1 push button + 1 receiver, Waterproof Black

We are in the middle of a remodel and I needed a way to get notified when the workers outside needed something from me. I got this doorbell and attached the bell near the front door with the sticky back option. This location is outside, but under the eaves, not in direct rain or wind. It has held on with no problems. The black model I got also had a small "window" under the bell where I could write a very short note ("RING BELL") to bring attention to the bell, or to identify a unit, if you need that. It was handy to have that and most of the other colors don't have it. With the black housing it helps also just to be able to put a bright color under the window to draw people's eye to the bell (in lieu of building something yourself outside the bell). The ringer has been located 1 story and about 25' deep (at the back of house) away from the plug in unit and worked fine. The inside unit can be placed anywhere there is a plug, so we have moved it around as areas of the house are decommissioned or power goes out. The volume on the ring can be adjusted to a very loud setting (if it is located near you, I found it too loud) or a quieter one. There are MANY chimes. Too many for me but there's an bell to suit any taste. It is nice to have the option of a short bell, if its where you know you'll hear it, to a longer one that gives you time to hear it if you are farther away or have competing noises. I think that's one of the best things about this--the options for different lengths of ring tones. The other great thing about this is the simple, plug and play set up. Truly, all we did was plug it in. If I wanted to change the ring tone, I'd have to read the instructions. But I hate to read instructions and didn't have to just to get it going and serve its purpose. I would recommend this and consider buying additional units if needed.

Only a day but it's working and have good feel about it. Originally tried same brand same model but a bit bigger receiver with wider, shorter, rounder button sender. The button was very loose and it had to be pushed firmly and square to start the bell. I had to search for the sweet spot on that big, loose button. Returned it. This one is a bit smaller. Sound is same. The narrower button also fits nicely within the door trim. The smaller button is firmer but connects every time. The square shape and the small button also look more like a door bell. Below is a plastic cap for leaving written messages but I couldn't open it. Changing battery is little more involved. The circuit board needs to be screwed off to access the battery. I guess the battery contacts are on the board. I see no problem removing the board unless I drop it and step on it.

Our A/C transformer powered door chime failed, and rather than call an electrician I thought I'd try a wireless solution. I'm glad I did, and glad I bought this product. I appreciate that the transmitter (outdoor switch button) is waterproof. I used the double-sided stick tape to attach it to the wood frame around the front door and so far it has weathered 2 storms without coming loose. We'll see how it weathers our upcoming Wisconsin winter, but I'm glad I can always use the screws if necessary. My wife had fun scrolling through the chime "sound" options, but I wish they were documented in a user guide so that it would be easier to return to the desired sound. But that is a minor quibble. Installation couldn't be easier. We live in a house with aluminum siding and a metal front door and neither impede the correct operation of the doorbell. I'm thinking of upgrading to the SadoTech "Starpoint" series next year so that I can locate several receivers throughout the house. Highly recommended.

So far I like the device, it was VERY easy to install and is sleek and simple. However, the doorbell button itself does NOT light up at all, it is 100% black ... even when the button is pushed there is no light. The interior wall plug does light up when the chime sounds but this is pretty disappointing considering the ONLY reason I ordered this particular doorbell is because it had the blue lights. Additionally, when it is dark outside the doorbell is IMPOSSIBLE to see especially because I live in an area where there are no street lights and the doorbell is black. Had I known the doorbell would not light up blue, I would have at least ordered a white or other light colored device to combat the no light situation! With all of this being said... the doorbell itself works great, wireless connection works well at long distances so far, SO MANY chime options which is great, and the volume and chimes are easily changed with the wall device.

We had an older home that had several additions. It was not possible for us to have a traditional "wired" doorbell system so the CROSSPOINT Expandable Wireless Multi-Unit Long Range Doorbell Chime Alert System was our solution. We bought the system after communicating with Sado Tech Support to understand the capacity of the system. The answered all of our questions very quickly so we bought the product... which was very reasonably priced. We are currently using the system and it works well for our front door and back door. In both situations we need to go through multiple walls, one of which is stone. I would definitely recommend this product because it is so EASY to install and provides a great solution for a reasonable price. Plus if you have questions, Sado Tech Support really does respond and get you answers!

I needed a doorbell, because I had missed an important delivery at my apartment three times, and it was driving me up the wall. It took a couple of minutes to set up, and worked like a charm. That being said, when the delivery actually came through, it was only because I had accidentally left the front door to my building slightly cracked, and UPS placed the package (A bookshelf, not that that's any of your business) just inside. So they didn't need to use the doorbell at all. I was upset, though I admit I was being unreasonable about it. Though it took time to get over the initial letdown of not utilizing this fine product in a more timely manner, it has since proved invaluable for my innumerable Ubereats and Grubhub orders (though a lot of the drivers still ignore the doorbell).

I was almost hesitant to purchase this item due to the fact that it look cheap and the price was really low and I thought maybe the quality wasn’t going to be there. However I was completely surprised and shocked by the modern look, sleek design, and great range that it has. I install doorbell over a brick gate, it went pretty smooth but had to buy separate screws for the mason break. I installed the base in the second-floor apartment which is 150 feet directly on the doorbell in the range is perfect the doorbell is very loud however you can customize the volume as need be. Will definitely buy again for my other properties!

We received this doorbell in January of 17. Installation was simple, everything was great. About 16 months later, it stopped ringing. I replaced the transmitter battery, but turns out the receiver is dead. It wont chime when it is plugged into an outlet, even when I push the button on the side. So while it worked, it was awesome; dying 16 months later, not so much. **edited to clarify** I did not purchase the protection plan, or this could have been corrected. I am still going to buy another SadoTech doorbell, I am just going to add the protection plan as well. They are amazing for the price, and things go wrong sometimes.

We just wanted a simple door bell that we didn't have to hard wire. This one is great and you just plug and play.. or use. Has tons of different door bell sounds and songs. you can also adjust the volume as well.. also, you can unplug the speaker and put it anywhere. So if you are afraid you will miss a delivery or someone stopping by, you can bring the door bell wherever you are in the house.
