Door Buddy Baby Door Strap Combo

Very easy installation. I had no problem getting the adhesive to adhere to my wall and door. This was the perfect solution for my toddler and cat. We currently rent a house and keep our cat’s litter box in the garage and need the door to stay open enough for her to go in and out as she pleases. I also want to protect our toddler to from getting into the garage. This product was a cheap, good quality solution for our family. It is also very easy for an adult to open, so no struggling with a baby gate.

Welcome to the animal house. We have 4 doggos and 5 cats (among others). Our dogs like to sleep in our room but the cats like the option of going in & out. If I leave the door open, the dogs will wake up before I do & who knows what they'll do. ("Who let the dogs out" is not fun when they leave little surprises for you.) Thanks to Door Buddy we can keep the door open a smidgen for the cats to do as they please but keep the doggos in until we are ready to let them out. You can adjust the size of the space in case you have a *chunky* kitty, like we do. It adheres to the door frame well. It took a few days to remember it was there & we may have pulled door open too hard a couple times & pulled it off. But it was easy to put back on & stayed on. It doesn't pop off when my dog tries to stick his nose in the door to push it open. That's also the great thing about the different sizes you can make it. You don't want your pup to get his head stuck in it so you can adjust it perfectly. We like this product so much that we bought a second one for another door. Oh! I almost forgot- it comes with this door wedge thing. It is amazing. We have a house fan & when we turn it on, some of our bedroom doors slam shut. You ever have the wind so crazy it just slams your door? Not anymore with our Door Buddy wedge thingy. It is easy to take off & put on your door handle for when you want some privacy & have the door closed all the way. Brilliant!

Once upon a time, we had a sleek, black, agile house panther (cat). He roamed the house like a king and was fed properly so he didn't grow large and lazy. After a time a prince was born, then a princess. These two wonderful, caring children found out about the limiting of food to the house panther. Secretly outraged, they vowed they'd rectify this injustice. Every lock before them was conquered. Every step to thwart them failed. Then, a day came and we found this device! It promised to keep children out but let the panther in and protect the very fingers previously used to enter the cats domain! What joy! Soon this device arrived and it was installed per the simple instructions it came with. For sure it protected the childrens fingers, expertly! However, due to the prince and princesses ongoing campaign to right the food injustice, and our failure to measure the width of the now rather large feline that loafed about, the size of the gap required to let the panther in was now large enough that a small two year old princess could just squeeze through. This device is well made, adheres as it should, and did it's job. Alas, in the end we were unable to use it.

What a surprise, well made in the USA (Pelham, AL just down the hwy from me) product and worth every penny. I use it as a cat excluder, keeping our bedroom door open to facilitate ventilation. Now, I don’t have to build the Berlin Wall every night to keep the fur balls out and off the bed. I did not use the 3M VHB adhesive included as it can be a bear to remove. Instead, I used 3M Command adhesive tabs that don’t damage the finish of walls or any surface for that matter. I did clean the application area with alcohol before sticking them on. I’ve had great results with them over the years. I wish the foam wedge was a bit bigger but you can move it to the top of the door and nearer to the hinges to increase open space. Just a minor issue along with the adhesive. Otherwise, this is a near perfect product that I am very satisfied with. That’s saying a lot coming from me. Skip the foreign knock offs and buy the real thing and keep jobs at home.

I recently installed, and it works just as intended! It effectively keeps my child safe and secure while allowing my cats to come and go freely. The installation was easy and straightforward, making it a great addition to our home. I highly recommend this product to any parent looking for a reliable way to manage their little ones and pets!

While we liked this because it served its purpose until our toddler got smart and could open it when he got taller.. it has since ruined our hard wood door and walls once we wanted to remove and get a different lock. It pulled the sheet rock off and took our primer and stain off our door. We tried the dental floss trick to try and remove it and that did not work at all. I would avoid this product

This is a lifesaver for us! Our 10 month old is on the move and extremely interested in the laundry room which happens to house the cats litter boxes and food. We didn’t want to always have the door shut on our cats, but also didn’t want her getting into cat food again! This is so simple to install, it took about 1 minute or less. So far the adhesion is holding up well. I like that the strap is adjustable and easily unhooks when you’d like it to. Our cats haven’t had any issues going in and out of their room when this door buddy is in use. The foam stopper stays exactly where placed. Overall this was great purchase and has made it a little easier to let the baby roam more freely. Hopefully this will hold up for us for at least a few more years!

This very simple solution to alot of problems that are faced around the house. I was looking for a solution for stopping my 2 dogs (rottweiler/ German shepherd cross and old english bulldog) from getting into the cats litter tray, which sounds like a minor problem but as one of the dogs had previously had to stay at the vets for 2 days because she had a large blockage from eating the cat litter and the vet said it was very lucky that we took her when we did otherwise there would have been nothing that could have been done for her. So we tried this as the rescue overweight cat that we had adopted needed exercise so we didn't want to lock him in one room while we were asleep or out. This worked really well, thought the dogs might have tried pushing it more but the seem to except they are not allowed in but the cat can still squeeze in and out when he wants to

I bought this to keep my door partially open for my cats to come and go into the room. The product is good and sturdy but difficult to remove, so think twice before attaching it anywhere

This is a fantastic product, I fitted as per instructions and not my cat can go into the utility room to eat and use her litter tray but the dog cannot get in. The stopper prevents the door from closing and the strap length can be adjusted. This saves us from having to cut a hole in the do of for the Traditional cat flap. Thank you for coming up with this fantastic product

It is exactly as expected. The cats can go in the room while keeping my little out of the room away from the cat food and litter. Good quality, easy to install. It's worth the money. It functions very well. It is also adjustable.
