This stuff tastes great and is high quality. It does not give me a burst of energy but, taken just before my hockey games, gives me a stable level of energy through the whole game. No longer am I running on empty late in the 3rd period. I feel as energized then as I do at the beginning of the game.

I like to go on long bike rides. I've been using this GU gel packets for years and they definitely work. With all the different flavors they offer, I think Vanilla is one of the best. I use about one packet every hour when I'm out on a long ride and usually keep about 4 of them on me. If you are looking for something light to pack and keep you going when you're on a long run, ride, or just something light to keep you going, this is it.

Always the right amount of energy when needed to keep from bonking, taste great, easy to handle and use while riding bike and is the perfect size.

Basic vanilla flavor, lots of other flavors if you want something else. Use responsibly, don't throw the empties on the ground. Dispose of properly or carry a small bento pouch on your bike.

Husband loves these for his long runs

This vanilla GU has been a staple in my long runs and marathon training for several years now. This is the only energy gel that tastes good, goes down smoothly, and doesn’t cause any GI upset. You definitely get an energy boost 10-15 minutes after ingesting. Packets are small and easy to put in pockets or belt. Make sure to take with a sip of water or Gatorade to enhance digestion of product and prevent GI upset!

It's been 15 years since I ran my marathon, and it was these GU gels that got me through the training and the race itself. I still remember the pleasant taste and euphoric feeling of energy and runner's high. They say smell and taste give the most potent memories - and in this case - it's true. I've been going through my past Amazon purchases, and it was these GU gels that stick out. I'm not surprised they are still for sale and going strong. Maybe I'll order a pack just for memory's sake...or to train for another marathon. Ha!

Definitely my favorite flavor of all of the GUs and gels out there. The consistency is bearable and provides just enough energy to keep you going. I have used these on multiple ultramarathons and training events. Love them!
