Lovely book!
There aren’t many children who don’t love Paw Patrol and enjoy watching it on the TV, so if you know a little Paw Patrol fan then this book would make a perfect gift or stocking filler at Christmas. My son is car and puppy mad. I think he’s watched Ready, Race Rescue Pups the short movie about a hundred times, so I knew he’d love the book too. He is a very good reader for a 6-year-old so he can read this book to me, but it would also be suitable for younger ages as can be read to them by an adult. There are only small amounts of writing on each page, but there are lots of lovely pictures too, that will help keep a child engaged. This story is all about the racers and pups getting ready for the Adventure Bay 500 race and like most good stories there’s always a villain! In this book, it is The Cheetah and what an appropriate name that is! The Cheetah manages to sabotage things and prevent The Whoosh (a popular racer) from competing in the race. This is where Marshall steps in and competes in the race instead. Can he win and ensure the Cheetah doesn’t get the trophy? You’ll have to read to find out.Even though my son knows this story backwards and what happens, he absolutely loved reading this book, I’m sure it’ll become a bedtime favourite read. It’s certainly filled with enough suspense for a young child too!The book is 32 pages long, so not unachievable to read in one sitting, but certainly more pages than most children's books. I think the price is very reasonable and what you’d expect to pay for a kid's book like this.

Great value paw patrol book
This is a really nice paw patrol book that has a fun story, it is pretty well written, it is well illustrated and printed too. I had pretty unusual expectations going into this book, firstly it is a genuine paw patrol licensed book so you expect a level of quality from that, but also it is really well priced, at the time of writing it is only £5.99 which is really good for something like this, especially as the RRP is £6.99.The book is well printed and everything in it is very clear, I like the big font used which is clear to read. The story is a pretty standard paw patrol affair and if you child is a fan of the TV show then this will probably be up their street. If I were to be really picky then I think so of the art style could be improved, some of the characters and poses seem a bit out of place or just thrown together, particularly Ryder seems to be in strange poses the couple of times they use him.

Good book
I think the quality was very good. Yes, you can see the staple under the golden book tape, but you cant feel it. The paper, doesnt feel thin to me. Its maybe a little heavier stock than printer paper. The story is long, it reads exactly like an episode of paw patrol. My 2 year old loves it, and is able to follow along and pay attention to it. The illustrations go along with the story well. Overall, its an excellent buy, you wouldnt find the same quality, in book or story for the same price at a dollar store. If you want a short bedtime story, hide it...because if they see it, they will want to read it. But if you dont mind, and have the time...they absolutely love it.

Vivid graphics and action packed story
The story follows the Paw Patrol gang as they help out at a famous motorcar race and have to overcome several obstacles and dishonest competitors in the process. It's a nice story about team work, being helpful and the old 'good' overcoming 'evil' trope. So as well as an exciting adventure the story has some decent life lessons and values to impart. Although it doesn't necessarily hit you over the head with them. The book is presented in a large paper back format. Each page combines a mixture of illustrations and text. The graphics are vivid and action packed. The story is fairly well written. I found it pleasant to read out loud to my daughter as the text and narrative flows nicely and the pacing is about right.

Long Dogs
I am not a fan of Paw Patrol as the episodes can be dull, but the children love it. I am not sure if 'Ready, Race, Rescue!' is an adaptation of an episode, but it too suffers from being too long for a children's book. You get your typical Paw story, this time around a race event. The whole thing goes on for 32 pages and you get a lot of text. As the stories are a little insipid, it can feel longer when reading it.I am not the audience for this book and those that count do like it - the children. The illustrations are full of colour and have the Pups in them. If you have a reluctant reader who loves to watch the show, these books are a useful tool to get a child engaged, but there are thousands if not tens of thousands of children's books that are better to read.
