Petsmile VOHC Accepted Toothpaste, Rotisserie Chicken 119g, Cats + Dogs

Expensive but ease of use good and my Jack Russell is ok with a teeth clean this one is particularly good and in the long run saves a vet bill later , but I did use a dog tooth brush as a pup so he is use to it I’m on my second one

As the title says, one of my cats hates this paste and will run away as soon as I get it out, but my other cat doesn’t mind it too much. Thankfully the one that hates it doesn’t have much of an issue with her teeth so I can just use a different paste for her, and the one that doesn’t mind it has dental issues and does need a more effective product like this. My cat with dental issues seems to suffer with tooth resorption and aggressive gingivitis and tartar build no matter how thorough home maintenance is (water and food dental additives, dental treats, dental paste, and lots of play time with toys that allegedly help clean teeth are all done with her). No matter what I do her dental health is always declining, she’s only 7 years old but already has had more than half of her teeth removed and her breath always stinks. With this product, I apply it with a cotton bud and it’s fast and gentle to do that way (she thrashes if I use a toothbrush and hurts her gums a lot). Within a couple of weeks I noticed her gums looked better, the redness was reduced and overall she seemed less bothered by her mouth in general. Her breath still smells and she still has tartar building up, but it does seem slower than usual. Hopefully this will help reduce the frequency of her dental treatments, but at the very least it’s definitely helping reduce her discomfort. I imagine this would work wonders on animals with less intensive dental issues, if they can stomach it, as my other cat was so offended by the smell she won’t go near the stuff. It’s definitely worth trying out, but there’s a 50/50 chance of it being taken well or not, in my limited experience!

Absolutely blown away with this product! Having four Pomeranians with bad breath and tartar built on teeth…I have literally tried everything, different toothpaste, dental spray, powder, etc. ChatGPT helped me and found this product for me. What a game changer and worth every penny!! Tar has started to come off all their teeth and bad breath has started to disappear! Been on this nearly two weeks! Will definitely be keeping on this product.

It looks ok and both of my chihuahuas will still have their teeth brushed so the taste must be ok. Vet mentioned, my 8 years old chihuahua has good teeth but I can't put this down to this toothpiece due to only changing to this one for a week at this time. Also every 3 months they go to the groomers to have a deep clean. It does look and feel more like our toothpaste, then the one I use previously. This and the other i used, does contine better and stronger ingredients, then the cheap ones you can buy from supermarkets. I'd rather use the correct strength for my dogs, in the long run, it will save vet bills and help stop my girls having to go through having their teeth pulled. Both girls have white teeth, so all what I'm doing is working. If you're thinking of cleaning your dog's teeth, I would suggest to. No, they hate it at first but they get use to it. Excellent toothpaste

My dog hasn’t been to the vet’s to get their teeth scaled for quite a while. Product is very expensive compared to other brands but if u think how much it costs to scale a dog’s teeth the price is totally worth it. Would be nice to have the occasional discount though.

With the first brand I bought the cat absolutely hated the taste of it. This one he didn’t seem to mind. Thank goodness

I have have been brushing my rescue dog's teeth daily since I adopted her 14 months ago. I used a different brand at first but my dog really disliked it. I switched to this brand two months ago and although she still doesn't enjoy getting her teeth brushed, she doesn't run away like she did with the other brand. When the vet first examined her shortly after adoption, he remarked that she had some calculus on her back teeth and that the only way it would come off was with a professional cleaning. However, he felt that we could wait another year or two for the cleaning. Today I noticed that the calculus was greatly reduced on her back teeth. I believe it was due to this toothpaste. I used the other brand for one year and there was no improvement--I used this brand for 2 months (rotisserie chicken flavor, although I think it smells minty) and there was a noticeable difference. I regret not taking a before photo to show the vet. Hopefully my dog's teeth will sparkle at her next checkup.

My two Cavaliers have the world’s hardest teeth to brush. Their little jowls get in the way and I would always end up pinching them and/or making the inside of their cheeks bleed. I bought this Petsmile toothpaste on the recommendation of our vet, with instructions to put a little pea-sized dollop underneath their top lip and then give them a chew toy to help “work it in”. And lemme tell you - those boys went from having breath that would make your eyes water, to breath that we don’t mind one little bit. And it was almost instantaneous! I give it to them once daily and within two days we had noticed a drastic difference. It’s so nice to be able to have doggie kisses again.

I have 3 cats and they don’t like the flavour or texture. I brush their teeth daily, compare with other toothpaste it is less vicious, it drips if you are not fast enough to stick the toothbrush into their mouth. I got the Rotisserie chicken flavour, it doesn’t taste or smell like chicken, it taste like stevia (i tried it lol).
