I give the rug a five-star rating because it deserves it. I was really surprised at how good the rug is right out of the package (it was packaged very well too). Because this rug is relatively less expensive than many other listings of natural sheepskin rugs on Amazon and elsewhere, I wasn't expecting much. But it turned out to be thick, soft, fluffy, plush, and luxurious all over. Many years ago I have purchased another natural sheepskin rug from Amazon described to be of the same size as this one (I got the 2'*6' one), but this one is definitely much bigger in its actual size. It's hands-down a high-quality, high-value purchase if you want a nice natural sheepskin rug. I also love how beautiful the natural creamy white color is. Now, the story takes a turn. It does have a "natural and organic" smell as mentioned in many other reviews. The smell itself is not repulsive. I don't know how long it will take for it to air out (my last rug never really got rid of the smell, but it was not a big issue since I put it on the floor. I lost the rug in cross country moving.) But now I have a cat! My cat just couldn't resist tackling the rug the moment it was laid on the floor. She probably imagined herself to be a lion or a tiger who just caught some big prey. She couldn't stop kicking and biting the rug, trying to tear it apart. She came back to it a few times after breaks already. And this is day one. I am guessing this smell does stimulate some instinctive call from her genes. In a few short moments, she managed to tear off quite some fur from the edge of the rug... The rug still looks fine since I just received it today. I am not sure how long it will last with my cat though. Before ordering, I thought about this possibility and googled whether cats and sheepskin rugs can co-exist. I got many cute picture results showing angelic cats resting contently in the long and soft sheepskin fur, looking totally adorable and peaceful. Many articles say that natural rugs calm our fluffy friends down. Well, I told myself "perfect!" Win-win for me and my cat. Now, here we are, the beginning of my cat's conquest of an imaginary lamb (which was a real lamb.) I cannot even return it since it has already been damaged by my cat... In the worst case, this rug would become a really expensive cat entertainment piece that would eventually be destroyed....:((( I even started feeling guilty for buying animal-based products - but then comforted myself by remembering reading somewhere that cow and lamb leather goods come from animals that would be slaughtered for meat consumption anyways. My cat is already eating canned food containing Australian lamb, etc, etc. Really need to stop the thoughts. So this is my review. Beautiful rug of excellent quality and unbeatable value, unless you have a cat(s).

Great sheepskin rug at a great price! I was very impressed with this rug and did not expect it to be as great as it was. I have a more expensive one from a high end company and this one is the EXACT SAME!!! Just as soft pretty!!! Definitely a great purchase!!

Beautiful and soft, this was exactly what I needed to revamp a 20 year old ikea chair. The 2x3’ size is perfect for covering the back of the chair. I paired it with a seat cushion to complete the chair revamp. This ended up being less expensive but more luxurious than buying a new cushion from ikea. As an added bonus this add enough extra cushioning to let me craft for hours pain free. Cannot recommend strongly enough!!

I LOVE this rug. I’m so glad I bought this instead of a cheap dupe. Reasonably priced, arrived quickly, doesn’t smell. It’s super soft and fluffy and really dense, so far I haven’t noticed any shedding. The size is perfect for draping across a queen bed. The color is beautiful and feels very natural. I might buy a second one for my bus conversion! Thank you so much!

Beautiful sheepskin, good quality and super soft. One star less because the pile is not as thick as my older sheepskin (different manufacturer/seller, although the materials about care etc. are identical). It also has more yellow undertones but I don’t mind that. Great price and would buy again! Update: this is lower quality than my older one from Iriwool. The hide is significantly thinner and less supple, not quite paper-like but still a bit stiff and noticeably thin. I wouldn’t know the difference but for having my older one. Still 4 stars since it’s nice enough.

The rug is pretty but I hate the fact I received a used rug. At least repack the item correctly. It was delivered in a big Amazon box. Opened the box and out popped the rug halfway out of the plastic bag that was cut open. Was not vacuumed packed. Care instructions just thrown in the box! And the middle of the rug the fur is very much shorter than the front, sides, and back - middle loos as if someone cut the rug!!! No more in the color I ordered! If I pay for new that’s what I expected! Disappointed!

The quality of this TRUE sheep skin is outstanding. The hide, as with any tanned animal skin, will have some light faint tanning and cleaning oder at first but dissipates after awhile; it's real leather not plastic fake fur. I have mine in my medical recliner and is wonderful because natural wool is temperature self regulating to your skin, keeps you cool & warm naturally. I sleep in this recliner too at times due to medical reasons. Super comfortable once you get used to laying/sitting on fur - you won't go back, it's not like upholstery fabric or vinyl. Just read and follow the included use and care instructions that are included, including contacting LLB with any help you might need. I love this one and will buy another from LLB if this one ever wears out. Over time it will look a little matted (not all fluffy). Just get you a sheep skin rug brush (Amazon plastic $10) and gently lightly brush the top layer of wool and go slowly not to pull out the hair. In a few minutes it will be looking brand new again. Treat it just like you treat your own hair when brushing it. If you are pulling out fur you're brushing too hard, same as your head. Mine does not shed at all. This is a true quality sheep skin thru and thru by a quality producing company. By the way, sheep are not big animals like a cow, so the 2'x6' is actually two sheep skins sewn together at the butt ends. A 2'x3' sheepskin in one sheep, that's how big a sheep is. The small pointed end is from the neck, the next wide spot is the front shoulder area, belly area and the last wide spot is the hind leg area. Now you also know a little about how your sheep skin gets it's shape. And no, I didn't get a free one for my HONEST review, I paid full price for mine just like anybody else.

I received a beautiful dark green sheep skin and was so worried before its arrival. Having been quite disappointed from some amazon stores quality, it has always felt a risk. Though when I opened this package, smelled, felt and displayed my little sheepie, my jaw dropped.
