VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Speedway RC SmartPoint Racer Police Car

Purchased for my grandson who will be 2 years old soon. Easy to control and sturdy. He plays with it even without the controller but the controller is very simple to use. Just remember the little switch on the back of the car and controller and put in the correct mode.

We use this on our Vtech tracks and the car works great. You will need to occasionally reset the remote to the car but it takes two seconds. Easy for my 15 month old to operate.

We got the whole RC track set for Christmas for our two little grandsons ages 2 & 3. The set came with one car & controller so we also bought this extra car & controller so they would both have one. They love it & play with it for hours! The set was easy to put together & they had fun helping. They love that you can put the cars in “push” mode too so they can push them around with all their other smart wheels cars & animals that aren’t remote control. I wish there was a remote control train car as the oldest grandson loves trains & stacks lots of the cars together & pretends they’re a train. I’ve read other reviews of issues with batteries & the elevator & things not working but ours are still going strong & we haven’t had any issues. The boys play with it most every day. It’s a lot of fun for their little imaginations!

My son is more interested in the car itself rather than remote controlling it. It only goes forward and backwards and at a slow speed which is understandable for the age range.

Very disappointed, I opened the box and found everything intact. After adding batteries I notice the remote was not communicating with the toy car. The Toy car ran great with lights and sound, however the remote never connected just kept flashing one light. I even switched the settings from 1, 2, and 3 nothing happen. Car never moved and their was no additional programming needed. I placed a return and brought something else. I am happy I tested this item before wrapping it for Christmas.

I think this might be better when my toddler is a little older, but I'm not sure. It does work both on and off the track, which is great. It goes forward and backward, which is fine, but at least left or right as well would be nice. The real problem is that I spend MY WHOLE FREAKING DAY switching the frequency on the car and remote back into place so they match, because my toddler loves to play with the switches. So he plays with the switches, they end up not on the same frequency, and then "It broken Mommy!" over and over. Oh PLUS the switch on the back has to be set to "motor." So that's THREE switches that all have to be in just the right position for the darn thing to work. We love Go Go Smart Wheels--we have two train sets and a car set plus lots of extra track and extra cars. They're super fun, and I was planning to get the RC Raceway for my son's birthday, but I'm not sure I'm going to bother now. You have to push the car's "face" once you set the frequency in order to "wake it up" as well, so it's just a lot of steps and everything has to be just right. The stars and planets have to be aligned for it to be operational. This is not because of the quality--like all the VTech toys we've had, these are a good quality and just the right size for my toddler's hands, but the darn thing just takes too much effort for me to keep it going. I purchased this as a non-screen toy to keep my toddler occupied when I work from home, but I have't been able to use it for that because it makes it so it's all interruptions all day long. If he loses interest in the switches before he outgrows the toy, that would be great, but since it only goes forward and backward, I think he might outgrow it a little more quickly. Maybe since it works on the track it'll be better later.

Cute RC , easy for a toddler to use . The car talks and lights up.

This was a birthday gift for a 3 year old as his sibling had one and he'd taken an interest in it. As soon as it was opened, it was ready to go and they were "racing" their little RC cars for a good hour. They had so much fun and it was fun to watch them!
