Rough Country Front Inner Fenders for Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2018) - Set of 2

These inner fenders appear to be the only ones that you can buy with a cover for the gap in the back of the fender towards the door that is left open when the stock inner fenders are removed. They fit perfectly and look very nice. They are a marked improvement over the ones that were on my Jeep before.

Easy to put on, look great

I really liked these paired with the RC Fenders. No instructions were included so it took some piecing together and looking at pictures, Over all a fairly quick install and they cover the inner well great. The RC logo isn't that bad, If you really don't like it you can paint the silver piece black before installing it. It is a rectangle piece that bolts in behind the cut out RC logo.

The first was a learning experience, even after watching the U-tube video but installation of the 2nd was a breeze. The impact added to my Wrangler (especially with the logo plates I painted red) was well worth the cost, plus I can relax about stuff being splashed onto my engine. Some folks were complaining about packaging and no instructions but mine were packaged so well not a blemish was on any part. Picture instructions were included and these aided me with the U-tube video I watched. I had two issues with my install: one large bolt was missing from the parts list (but made no difference since I didn't need it because I used the OE bolts). And, reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, the middle hole protrusion on the rear side of each did not align with my OE holes. Nevertheless, it doesn't seem to be an issue that the middle isn't bolted since the ends appear to be enough as long as a rattle doesn't start. I'm happy! Price was right! Took 3-4 hours to install, (the last one only 1 hour since I had gained experienced). My mechanical skills are mediocre at best.

Installation? Let’s just say there were moments I questioned my life choices, my tool collection, and whether my Jeep was mocking me. But once they were on, wow. Engine bay? Protected. Street cred? Skyrocketed. My neighbor, who only waves to people with spotless trucks, waved at me. True story. Verdict: If you want your Jeep to look tougher, protect the important bits, and gain the confidence of a prizefighter, get these. Bonus: you’ll learn a few new curse words during installation—free of charge.

OK, so the product is solid! 5 Starts for the product itself. The problem is in the installation instructions. 3 Stars for the instructions that are not good at all. The installation would have been smooth and easy and would have taken about half the time if they were thorough and not so confusing. I am by no means an amateur at doing work on my vehicles, but I am not a pro either. The instructions were unclear and the pictures that are included were very hard to see. Also, I have Titan Flat Fender Flares on my 2017 JKU and the mounting holes that they use do not match up to the 3 stock mounting holes, so the problem is with those and not the Rough Country Inner Fender Flares. It took some creative thinking and a little extra time, but I got it figured out and it is still solid and looks great!

They look great and we’re easy to install. Right side rear panel will not fit if you have a hidden snorkel like I have. So I need to make my own part I guess. Hood product for the $$$ spent though.

I’ll put these through the test! Off-roading, mud, snow, rough Canadian winters, salt etc. Paired them with cheap flares. So far so good! I’ll update if anything changes.

Easy to put together

The first fender well took a bit to figure out cause the instructions are not great .but the second Side went really quick. Other then that the logo color comes in silver not a colour that stands out very well. So I made some led plates. Now they look great. Rough country should make some for this application but they don’t.
