Purina Cat Chow Naturals is the only dry food. Our cat will eat. It is pet parent approved for the fact that she enjoys it and that it has a good nutritional content. The size of the kibble is just right for her. She seems to really enjoy the taste as she always dives right in as soon as I fill her bowl up.

Purina cat chows usually have higher protein than many of the grocery store cat foods and don’t start with corn meal. Our cats enjoy this chicken naturals being alternated with regular (blue bag) Purina cat chow and the slightly higher protein kitten chow. Have noted before: they hate all Turkey flavors whether wet or dry. And often throw up if it has salmon or generic fish. (Read the NYTimes Oct 2026 article about the toxic, disgusting horrid conditions and processes for farmed fish which probably explains the horrible fish slurry that gets turned into cat food and that likely explains why so many cats have digestive issues with cat food with fish). Meanwhile the regular cat chows including this naturals version are well liked by our cats and the abandoned ones we feed. Their coats are shinier and healthier than past years of trying lower protein, lower quality kibble. We mix in or supplement their diets with canned cat foods and they especially like the pate chicken with greens. Sometimes also mix in very well cooked, softened NON SEASONED (other than salt — no onions or msg) using mixed vegetables like peas and carrots or mixed peas carrots potato corn, green beans — no onions or garlic ever for cats. They’d probably like a little more if kibbles were kitten chow sized. We have some older cats that we soften small amounts with warm water (no dairy!) or canned w gravy or added water. Also they live a bit of baked potatoes softened & slathered with real butter mixed or sprinkled in as well. So yes, thumbs up on the chicken naturals as well as regular and kitten chow flavors.

This is the only dry food my cats will eat, I've tried several name brands and they will not eat it. I have 2 very picky cats but they love the Purina cat chow naturals. Seems good quality and my cats have no problem digesting it. Low odor.

My cats love this food, I was buying Meow Mix, then I read somewhere that food dyes are harmful for consumption. I switched to this one. It’s healthy and affordable option for little kitties

My cat likes this food and has been eating it without any issues. I like that it contains added vitamins and seems to provide balanced nutrition. The kibble size is good. It would be great if the bag is resealable.
