Considering that this is one of the smallest (3.5”) hemostats made, I expected the jaws to have little to no gap when closed, but as the pictures show, the gap in this is way too big - I have 12” hemostats with a smaller gap.

OK for a really cheap item, but jaws don't even make contact until the ratchet is on the second position, which could limit some uses - unless you're grabbing something pretty decent size you can't grasp it without locking it. So again, for a really cheap item it's OK, but don't expect a precision instrument.

I worked in surgery where we used these. I now use them to handle threads on my sewing machine since my hands and fingers do not work as well as they did when I was younger. They are also good for many other things when you need fine skills.
