Levoit Classic300S Ultrasonic Smart Top Fill Humidifier, Large 6L Tank, 60H

This is my second humidifier of this same brand and model. Using them has enhanced my use of lubricating eye drops, and between them they are helping alleviate my dry eye issue. I use only distilled water but you can also use tap water or purified water. If you use tap water, you will need to empty the water and clean all the parts that get wet every day! Otherwise, mineral deposits build up and reduce both the efficiency of the product as well as the purity of the mist. It's very easy to use, and can be paired with an app to enable remote control ability through a smart phone. Frankly, it's so easy to use manually that I don't bother with yet another app! It isn't hard to clean this humidifier but there are quite a few parts to clean, which is one reason I use only distilled water! You don't get the mineral deposit build up and cleaning can be done much less frequently. How reliable this humidifier is over time remains to be seen. I've only been using one for about 10 days and the second one just arrived today. If one or the other craters in a month or two, I will update my review.

This product has been great so far! It is extremely quiet. Honestly I don’t think it makes any noise. It is easy to take apart and wash. The night light has 2 settings and it’s a the perfect amount of soft warm light. The light kind of looks like a lava lamp when turned on and that makes it soothing and fun to look at. I have this in my living room and it has upped the humidity. I bought a brita pitcher and I use filtered tap water. This humidifier is effective and adjustable. It also doesn’t leave a film or any residue like other humidifiers. I am really impressed.

After researching multiple humidifiers, I settled on this Levoit 650S and I'm honestly blown away by it, enough to write a review. The designs and the features are just so over the top, you can tell they put a lot of care into a humidifier which is not a device that typically gets much thought. I'm coming from an old basic sunbeam ultrasonic unit which was loud, had to be refilled at the sink (from the bottom) and impossible to clean. This Levoit unit blows it away and it has so many features I didn't even expect. Automation & Smart Features: If you're considering this unit, it's probably for the smart features. And it's way more comprehensive than I anticipated. If you've ever set up a smart bulb, the setup and app function is very similar. You can set schedules, timers, mist intensity, change the light temperature and brightness and target what humidity level you want. There are even "scenes" I don't quite understand yet. For my schedule, I run my unit at 50% humidity during the day with the light on in daylight hue, from 9AM to 9PM. From 9PM to 9AM, the light transitions to warm 2700k, 50% brightness, and I target 45% humidity during the night. This schedule took about 5 minutes to setup. Bit of a learning curve as with any new app, but not too convoluted. Since the system automatically detects ambient humidity, you can use that as a target like a thermostat and let it do its thing. It will automatically turn on and off as needed. I didn't expect this, I was mostly just looking for something I could schedule on and off, but this is way more accurate. 45% - 50% is ideal for house plants. Above 60% you risk mold growth. So it's best to have a unit which maintains a target, rather than guessing with an on/off switch. In addition, the app keeps a history of everything, almost like a fitness app. It constantly records humidity levels, so you can see (if you wanted) what humidity was like during the night, even if your unit isn't running. Then maybe adjust it for your sleep to figure out what's best. A bit superfluous to track humidity like this, but again I appreciate the effort by Levoit. Aesthetics & Nightlight: So...the design is beautiful. Yes a humidifier is beautiful. The big tank is nicely shaped and crystal clear like glass, and the central steam column with the night light creates a very nice aesthetic. The light is perfect for a night light. Some people complained it was too dim and I think they're missing the point. It just looks nice in a pitch black room. That's it. If it were any brighter, it would be bothersome to have on at night. This is great on a night stand, though you may want the smaller model. The front plate displays the current humidity. The LEDs on the front are white and not too bright for a dark room. I've added an image and it seems brighter in the photo than it really is. It's similar to an old alarm clock, and the numbers are big and easy to read from a distance. The entire front can also be turned off if you want no lights at all. The controls are touch activated, but I mostly interact via my phone. Output & Noise: I have it set to run automatically 24/7, so I set it to the gentle/lowest setting which is completely inaudible. At the maximum setting, it can really pump out mist and is no louder than a desktop computer fan. Aromatherapy: I didn't even know this existed when I bought it, but there's a little internal tray you can add essential oils to. Haven't tried this yet, but I intend to. Orange, Lemon and Lavender would be nice. Maybe some sandalwood. Filling & Cleaning: Unlike my old sunbeam, the main base of this unit stays dry, with a wet tray over base which the tank connects to. So you pull out the wet tray and run it through the dishwasher, theoretically keeping the main unit completely clean of mold or mineral deposits as it doesn't come into contact with water. This is a HUGE feature as my old sunbeam was impossible to clean. The tank sat right into the base, so there was always water in a base filled with electronics you couldn't get wet. Again, by comparison, completely thoughtless. It's the little things that come from regular use which determine whether a product is just "meh" or "I love this thing". And this is in the latter category. I used tap water in my last unit, and we have great tap water in Colorado. But I'm using filtered Zero Water this time to avoid any mineral build up, along with stripping out chlorine and fluoride. Only pure water is emitted this way. Since the unit can be refilled from the top, you can take smaller pitchers of water to refill/top up and not have to haul a large tank. Great for older people, much more manageable. And the tank is quite large, it will last a few days of continual use without a refill. Overall, just refilling it is much less of a pain than the sunbeam was. Value: I got this on sale for a bit over $70 which I think is a great price given the features. Lots of other uglier, standard units are priced at this level. Levoit makes a lot of humidifiers and I actually think this is their best model. Highly recommended.

The 300S really is an excellent humidifier and a great value; my only disappointment is it isn't quite as easy to clean as advertised, as there are parts of the humidifier than remain inaccessible (and have pink mold on them) that drive me a little nuts. This thing really packs a punch for humidification - on a high setting, it can really humidify a space significantly. It's even set off my daughter's smoke alarm because of how misty it made the room, ha. It also holds more water than it looks - I live in a very dry climate and on a relatively high setting (target 54% RH in our roughly 15-20% RH home) we get two full nights out of it. The only disappointment has been the cleaning - I read many reviews before purchasing saying how easy it is to clean, how accessible everything is, etc. etc. and all I can say is there must be some really hard to clean humidifiers out there if this is one of the easiest. I've included a photo of its condition after more than 2 years of use, and you can see there is some mineral buildup at the black seal in the base and around the bottom of the mist tube, but, I also don't bother with distilled water and supplement with little 'cleaning fish' (https://a.co/d/6TQEFNb) to help with mineral buildup. So after two years, it's not terrible and mostly on me for not wanting to buy distilled water ;) My real beef is with the mist tube - there's an impossibly narrow and distant part near the base and I have yet to find a cleaning brush narrow and long enough to clean the pink mold out that forms between the tube and its little insert. I've honestly considered buying a waterpik just to 'powerwash' the thing; my kitchen faucet sprayer on max isn't strong enough to blast it off. There aren't many parts to take apart when cleaning but I actually wish it broke down into more so I could access that thing. The other trouble with cleaning is - at least per the instructions - you do a 15-minute soak with 3 cups or vinegar, and then a second 15-minute soak for two small pieces that you just soaked already. So if you're following the instructions, you're married to a 30 minute+ cleaning session. I generally do the first soak, then dump the same vinegar back into the measuring cup with the two small pieces in it, and start cleaning the tank and base while those sit there. I rarely have the patience to wait out the next 15 minutes, but it's still about a 25+ minute job in the end. I use a baby brush and the longest, narrowest wire brush I can find in addition to the small 'looped' brush to clean all the nooks and crannies. Keeping gallons of vinegar stocked for this is a bit of a bummer too. Now all that said - per above this thing REALLY works, which is huge. It's also got just about any feature a person would want out of a humidifier - it has Bluetooth capability with an app but you can also work the intuitive controls without one. You can add essential oils in a little absorbent pad that lives in a small 'drawer' if that's your thing. It's got an optional timer, an optional nightlight, low/medium/high and auto mode and you can set the desired %RH with an app. I believe the hygrometer is on the bottom, so if you've just cleaned it and it gets wet it may be a little out of whack that night. And it's surprisingly quiet. Even if this cost a lot more it would still be an excellent value - my cleaning neuroses aside, it's an excellent appliance and has lasted us three years and still works great, despite my not using any distilled water. Just be prepared for the cleaning. ;)

This was a life saver for me after having sinus surgery. I bought it because of tank size (and maybe the essential oil duffuser) never thinking i would really use the app or the bells and whistles. I love this! Very simple to clean, the app is very useful for helping you get the humidity needed just right and for all your instructions. Thanks to the app I found the turbo setting which I did not know about along with other features. Very quiet. Nightlight if wanted. You can turn out all the lights on the control panel for complete darkness.

I love the humidifier and especially the app! It is SO quiet I don’t even know it’s on and very easy to set up & run! Everything I need is right in the front & easy to get to like refilling the reservoir and adjusting the settings. I live in TX where humidity is high but this humidifier adjusts the mist accordingly. My husband is not coughing as much so the cool air has been effective in eliminating that! 🙏 I’m also using distilled water to keep it as clean as possible. I have four or five humidifiers (heated, cold, wicks) and this is by far the best I've found. (A friend recommended it.) * It's got a large tank that's easy to lift off and fill. * It's quiet. * It seems to do a better job of putting moisture into the air than the others. It's replaced my old favorite.

So far so good. I bought two and have them on Auto so idk how long til I have to refill them. Let me get the 4 stars out of the way... I wish it had other light color options and the *the set up* part wasn't extremely easy as other devices. It took a while to connect to my wifi, had to retry 2 or 3 times until I unplugged and plugged it back in, then, it also needed me to input my PW for my wifi but it wasn't allowing. Me to do so unless I disconnect myself from my own wifi and connected back up. I do have to mention that it may have been a returned item because it had preselected info on there that I had to erase. I know it sounds bad but I promise it was easy, but the extra steps, along with the minutes lighting made me knock it down a star. ALSO, when adding essential oils, you definitely need more than a few drops. The sponge it has will absorb it a lot. I needed to add maybe 15drops or more and still it's a faint smell. Easy fix tho, just add until it works. It's an easy fix but still I feel it should be mentioned. Oh annnnd you are not able to set the Exact moisture level directly from the humidifier. You can just set to high, low or auto. You need to download the app and there you can do all the fancy programming on it. That's all the bad. Not really bad at all, just some small bumps. The app is actually really well thought through. Easy to adjust and set. And you can set it to your voice assistant. I have mine set to Alexa and work flawlessly. And you can control them remotely with your phone without being home. None of these things should deter you from this device. Now the good. It's not an enormous water tank but as you fill it, you quickly realize that it's definitely not small. The design is not fancy but it is still not bad to look at. It definitely shoots the mist up high. Idk if it's as high as advertised but definitely at least 32 inches from the sprayer. I have one in a larger size living room connected to an open concept kitchen (maybe 450ft SQ). Still took only about 5 mins to spread across the rooms. I did after all have it on HIGH the whole time. Since it's good, I lowered it to the permanent setting I desired, set to auto and boom. It really is good, I was surprised. Needless to say. The bedroom one will last longer and work even more efficiently since it's bedroom. Just go get it. I got mine because it's summer and the central AC is causing nosebleeds and my daughter's eczema flares. This is helping.

J'ai acheté ce produit notamment pour fournir un meilleur taux d'humidité à mes plantes d'intérieur. Pour le moment, rien à redire, il fonctionne parfaitement. La fonction 'Auto' lui permet de se déclencher dès que le niveau d'humidité passe sous un certain seuil et de s'arrêter de la même manière lorsque celui-ci atteint le niveau fixé. Il est aussi possible d'utiliser l'appareil en mode 'Manuel' en le déclenchant soit même et choisissant un niveau de brumisation. Le remplissage se fait très simplement par le haut et le contrôle via l'application VeSync est un petit plus pratique.

Works great for our living room (8x5m) I also got it to work in home assistant. I bought this model specifically for using it in home assistant and because of the good reviews. +: Big tank, silent, clear display, the cats stay away from it, app works great - : You have to create an account (I read somewhere that a credit card is needed. This is not true!). If the company takes down the service, the home assistant integration stops working. All together a great machine!

Ahora que llevo con el casi dos meses ya puedo daros mi opinión. He tenido varios de varias marcas y este es el mejor que he tenido hasta la fecha. La niebla es impresionante en su nivel más alto y tiene un diseño bonito. La capacidad del tanque es suficiente para una noche al máximo de niebla y sobra como un cuarto de depósito o más. Son 6 litros, se puede usar agua del grifo sin filtrar sin problemas, no hace falta que sea mineral, filtrada o descalcificada. Donde vivo el agua es muy dura y no he tenido ningún problema. Es fácil de montar y desmontar para su limpieza. Me encanta que te avise de cuando toca limpiar el tanque y el interior. La app es muy intuitiva y se puede controlar por Google Assistant o Alexa. Las pegas que le puedo poner son: - Ni Alexa ni Google entienden en español la orden de apagar la luz del tanque, solo lo he conseguido con Google en inglés. "Turn the light of the humidifier off" - No tiene Integración con IFTTT. Aunque la app Vesync aparece para integrarla, no aparecen los humidificadores. Por lo que no puedo hacer automatizaciones con Smart Life y otras marcas de domótica. Cuidado con tener muebles no hidrofugos de madera cerca, la niebla puede llegar a mojarnos un poco. En mi caso son resistentes a la humedad.

Einfach perfekt. Per WLAN verknüpfbar, mit sehr benutzerfreundlicher App mit allen Funktionen, zusätzlich Nachtlicht steuerbar inkl. Alexa etc. Der Automatikmodus ist hervorragend. Einmal eingestellt, habe ich es so eingestellt, dass er die Luftfeuchtigkeit dauerhaft zwischen 40 und 50% hält (Bei 40% ein, Bei 50% aus). Zudem ist die Luftfeuchtigkeit dauerhaft genau ablesbar. Zudem ist das Gerät extrem leise, sodass man es selbst, abends beim schlafen, wenn absolute Stille ist kaum wahrnimmt. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
