What's the filter size for the lens?

Believe it or not, the lens is not threaded for filters. Instead, Nikon generously supplies you with a lens hood (HB-97) which is threaded for a "standard" 112mm filter. Don't enter this game if the word budget is in your vocabulary.

Are these nikon usa or grey market lenses? do they still come with a printed warranty certificate with the lens serial number on it?

If you bought the lens from an authorized Nikon dealer, you'll get a Nikon warranty certificate. When buying from Amazon, check the source of their 3rd party vendor. The big name ones are usually a safe bet. Others require separate/additional research. My copy from Amazon came from Nikon USA and I registered on the Nikon website.
