Ok so to start, almost all negative reviews are from people that did not read the description well and were not able to use the test properly. I tested a dog I knew was pregnant, as well as one that I knew was not, and both tests were accurate. I was hesitant about the accuracy because the price compared to purchasing through the veterinary clinic I work for was almost 10 times what this kit cost. I chose this one over some of the other options on Amazon because it has the option to test using both whole blood and serum. I was prepared to buy a centrifuge if needed but liked that it came with the supplies for the alternative whole blood method as well which saves having to spin the blood down. The advantages of whole blood testing are saving time, not having to have the equipment, and being able to draw less blood than you would if you had to separate the serum. If you can not draw blood on your dog, do not purchase this test kit and then give it a negative review, that is not the company or the fault of the test. The test comes with everything you need to collect the sample and run the whole blood test. If you opt to test with serum then you will need a centrifuge to spin the blood sample down.The instructions listed on this page are clear and easy to follow so refer back to your Amazon order when it is time to perform the test. If you think your dog is pregnant and you do not know the exact date of ovulation based on progesterone testing, and you get a negative result, wait a week and restest! Relaxin is a hormone that is unique to pregnant dogs (yes humans have it too but not only when pregnant) and is an accurate way to distinguish between a real and a false pregnancy. Follow the instructions, make sure you test late enough for accurate results and only purchase the test if you are comfortable collecting a sample yourself. My dog is not pregnat yay! . The vet stated to wait 3-4 weeks or even up to a month to test her again. It was hard drawing blood from my dog,it’s nerve wrecking. I put 4 stars bc I wish they could of put a video close up

If you know how to draw blood from a dog this is super easy to use and saves a trip to the vet, so limited exposure of your girl to sick pets. It reminds me a lot of COVID home tests except you need blood. You can spin the blood down or just use whole blood.

I have experience in a variety of vet tech functions, so when I came across this I thought I’d give it a try with the hope of sparing a long trip to the vet for pregnancy confirmation. I was able to collect the blood sample with relative ease, but that where the positive of this ends. The actual test didn’t even hint at a positive, even though I had received ultrasound confirmation of pregnancy prior. This test was performed on gestational day 35, possibly 37. Don’t waste your money. It may be convenient to confirm at home, but the vet is a much better bet!
