Hal Leonard Lynyrd Skynyrd - Greatest Hits

A worthy payoff for all those childhood piano lessons
This songbook has all the Lynyrd Skynyrd songs we know and love, but it is frustrating that so many of them were written in keys with many sharps/flats (aka the black keys) that require advanced piano-playing skills and definitely the ability to read music. But this negative also is a positive, because it personally helps me bone up on my most rusty area of piano-playing, which would be the more advanced stuff. Of course I'll never be able to hold a candle to the late, great Billy Powell (We're not worthy!) , who in my opinion gave this band it's extra-special appeal (when paired with the phenomenal song-writing skills of the late Ronnie Van Zant) in the guitar-laden world of Southern Rock. However, with some practice and the right level of experience, it is possible to play the songs in this book and sound like you know a thing or two about tickling the ivories. It took a long time, but with this song book, I finally found a worthy payoff for all the years of my youth when I was required to take piano lessons.

Disappointed
I was so disappointed. I bought this book for Free Bird and it did not have any of the special guitar solo details. In addition, the book I bought had obviously been used before and returned.

Not exactly what I was hoping for
I was hoping for more piano solos. Free Bird was only a few pages long and we all know it's worthy of at least ten. But, I guess that's where improvising comes in and I do not possess that talent.
