Excellent book.
One of the most beautiful things ever written. It's a travesty that more people have not read this. The book arrived undamaged.

Just Great
If you don't have the luxury of attending courses at an institution of higher learning where such pieces of reputable literature as would be produced by the likes of Milton might be studied and dissected with the assistance of learned professors, it's imperative that you get yourself an edition of his work that comes with sufficient annotations, guides, and critical apparatuses. This one is beyond sufficient, without being too much; I had the displeasure of reading an edition of the same work once that was so bloated with annotations that the text of the poem took up less than half of each page. Maybe such an edition would prove to be of use to someone that needed context for every detail of every line, but with so many annotations, one loses Milton in the sea of them. This edition provides just the right amount of understanding, with a solid introduction, annotations which guide without commanding, critical essays, and a glossary for all the important names that appear in the text.
