Great Value
I went to a local mattress store and bought my daughter a full size mattress. Her crib converts to a headboard and footboard on a full size bed. The store it came from wanted close to $300 for the rails that covert the crib over to a bed. I priced out a mattress frame locally and the pricing was outrageous. I settled on a Kings Brand adjustable metal bed frame. This review is for the footboard attachment accessory. This accessory wasn't available locally at my mattress store. They didn't have a way to attach a footboard to their metal bed frame. I settled on Kings Brand because they had this option paired to their bed frame. It was a wise choice. This set has a notch that allows it to fit around the feet. Buying aftermarket and you'll run the risk of holes not lining up or it not working. Installation was a little tricky and I consider myself very handy. The instructions depicted this accessory to be mounted on top of the bed frame. If you do this, the bolts are self locking and squared at the top. The won't fit through the round holes in the bed frame itself. To fix this you need to install this accessory on the bottom of the bed frame. Also, the hardware kit uses locking nuts. Trying to tighten locking nuts with the thin wrench that comes with the hardware kit can be a pain. I used a socket set to make quick work of it. An adjustable wrench or wrench would work just as well. Anything but the tool that comes with it. This is not a complaint. The price point doesn't allow them to send a full size wrench. Use your own if you can. If not, the tool will work. Just takes a while. All in all, great value. Holds the footboard securely and works as intended.

Works Great
I used these to adapt a bed frame of an outmoded size. I needed to get adapter plates in order to use these bars, too, and I had to drill some new holes in the bars to get the right fit -- I don't recall exactly, but I think the problem was that the mattress was a custom length outside of the adjustments on the bars -- not hard to rectify. I am very happy with the sturdiness, the price and the instructions. Saved my bacon. By the way -- they are not as heavy-duty sturdy as the old frame I replaced them with, FYI. But in my case anything heavier would have been a problem. I had one unfounded concern. When the bolts are inserted there are plastic caps that protect the sheets and covers and your calves and shins as you walk past the bed. I was concerned because they do protrude and I thought I might just bump a shinbone into one of these, but I have not even noticed them since it was assembled. I have a narrow passageway to the bed and it has never been a problem, in case you have the concerns I did.

It works but may not fit 100% correctly.
Works good. The bolt slots may not work for the bolt pattern on your footboard. Only one slot on each side lined up. I had to drill a new hole to make it work.

Works for intended purpose, but buy extra hardware
I recently inherited a King Size bed set that did not come with a frame. I purchased a generic metal frame that unfortunately did not have the capability to attach a foot board. The extenders work perfectly for the purpose intended but as all things it did have some Cons. They advertise that it comes with hardware but the bolts provided are smooth on one side which does not provide any kind of leverage to tighten the bolt to the bedframe. They literally just spin and spin. It also does not include the hardware to attach the actual bedframe to the headboard/footboard itself, so those were an additional purchase as well. With the correct hardware it was very easy to install and I have not had any problems since.

Easier Than I Expected
We had an antique double bed that we wanted to convert to a queen bed. I ordered King's Brand 7-Leg Heavy Duty Adjustable Metal Bed Frame with Center Support Rug Rollers and Locking Wheels, Queen/Full/Full XL/Twin/Twin XL , Kings Brand Bed Frame Footboard Extension Brackets Set Attachment Kit - Twin/Full/Queen/King , and 2 (one set for headboard and one set for footboard) #65 Adapto-Hook Bolt-On to Hook-On Conversion Brackets for Headboard & Footboard Attachment, Set of 2 . Note that the hooks on headboard conversion brackets are pointing UPWARD so the headboard actually slightly hangs on it so as to not carry the weight of the new box springs and mattress. To make the conversion from double to queen I mounted the headboard conversion brackets to the inside. All the pieces fit together perfectly and all required nuts, bolts and washer were included. Even the tools required were included. I did have to use my own screwdriver. From opening the boxes to putting the box spring and mattress on the new bed frame took approximately one hour. Admittedly I am somewhat mechanical but the assembly was really easy.

Works as expected
Added length to an existing metal frame. Didn't quite fit the same as pictured but it's not the manufacturer fault just a different brand of bed frame. I made it work totally worth the money.

Poorly designed "universal" extenders
First, it's not very universal. The instructions, which are absolutely horrible, show that mounting to your frame(at the foot of the frame, not the footboard itself) will require 3 bolts on each side, to which most metal bed frames only have two bolt holes available on each side. Second, the instructions provided are only pictures, no written steps. The pictures are only outlines of the bed frame and extender, best decription would be a drawing of two 3D boxes with one on top of the other, and I was unable to determine if the extender is supposed to go on the outside or inside of the bed frame. I assume it's supposed to go on the inside. Third, the metal isn't very thick, and its width and height(the dimensions of the "L" shape) are smaller than a traditional bed frame. For instance, the width and height of the "L" on a bed frame is approximately 1" x 1", but the width and height on these extenders is app. 3/4" x 3/4". It's not a major issue as it seems they designed them to accommodate different size frames with oval, instead of circular, mounting holes to adjust accordingly. Also, the bolts they provide you are supposed to be installed inward, leaving the nut and remainder of the bolt on the inside of the frame, which will puncture your box spring or mattress. I ended up drilling my own holes through the bottom of the extenders and frame to face the bolts downward so the nut and remainder of the bolt won't damage the bed. If I wasn't in a rush, and didn't modify the extenders already, I would be returning them. P.S. With using the bolt holes provided for a twin/full mattress, on a twin/full/queen size bed frame, the overall length of the frame is 76".
