Superior product! Works extremely well for repairing air bed!
Forget purchasing other repair or vinyl patch kits. This stuff works wonders! I have a fairly expensive queen airbed that was accidentally damaged by one of our guests. The damage seemed irrepairable because there were several long slid of tears on the surface of the air bed. Each tears were 4-5 inches long! Not only so, but the inside of the airbed is just vinyl, but the top surface is made of a layer of soft furry material (kind of like velvet). So I was worried that any repair liquid/patch kit would not mend this material since it's not a direct contact with vinyl. I bought this to give it a try, hoping it can save my airbed from being tossed to the trash can, and I'm so glad I did! This stuff really works! I followed the instructions somewhat, applying a layer every few minutes with a fan blowing in the room for ventilation (this stuff smells pretty toxic when you open it up). The instructions said for large repairs, use a patch of vinyl. However, I didn't have any. So I took a risk and tried to repair the long tear with direct application with this stuff. Since the tear was so large, I used binding clips to hold the two sides of the tear together and apply the first 3 layers, with 5-10 mins. drying time between each application. Afterwards, I applied few more layers, again with 5-10mins of dry time between each application. Then I left it to dry over night. The next day was the moment of truth. I pumped the air bed to ~70% just to test first the durability of the repair. It held on perfectly! So I pumped the air bed to ~90%, stretching the entire air bed to be pretty firm. No leak! No pop! About a week later was the real test. I had a few guests stay over, and two of them slept on this bed for several nights in a row! No issues! There have since been at least 6 guests on several occasions who have slept on this bed after the repair, and no leak so far! You can see the attached images of the repair that I did (images shown with air bed fully inflated). I repaired 3 long slid of tears total. You can see the crack right through between the tear, however this Airstop material hardened itself to completely cover over the entire damaged area. With each coating, after it dries, the liquid hardens and bonds with the vinyl. So the more coating applied, the harder the seal. From the images, I applied 5-6 coatings on the large tears, and about 3 coatings on the smaller tears.. Since it worked so well even on non-direct contact with a vinyl surface, I am sure this stuff will work well with most, if not all vinyl inflatable objects! I highly recommend this product over all other brands and forms of inflatable repair kits! CAUTION: - Use this only in a well ventilated area. This stuff smells really toxic upon opening the cap. - Be careful not to get it on your skin or eyes. This stuff may burn you!

Worked perfect to seal a kids air matress
Anyone who has an air mattress knows that feeling when you have a small leak and have the choice: throw it way or try to fix it. Well in the air mattress I had for my kids I found the leak and figured I would give this a try. Standard cleaning the area, get it nice and dry, apply this sealant, let it harden overnight and it worked perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised as I had already planned I would have to buy another air mattress. The kids use this air mattress likely ~ once per month and it's held for nearly a year. So overall a simple to use repair that has worked great.

RARE - product works MUCH better than expected
What is rare about this product? It is a miracle fix-it product that actually works much better than expected. Oddly enough, Coghlan's does not promote it with any outrageous claims, which they should, because it is that good. I bought a Simmons BeautyRest air mattress bed which developed a leak in the seam around the blow up valve after a couple of weeks of use. I was told this could not be patched and to send it back. Since this appeared to be a design flaw that would recur on the replacement, I decided to see if I could deal with it. When I searched for possible products to fix the air bed, I found Coghlan's 8880 Airstop, Coghlan's 8880 Airstop is easy to use, it has an applicator attached to the inside of the lid (you will never lose it), which is handy, but I needed to get the product into the vinyl seam around the round valve and the applicator did not seem to be the right tool for that job. Instead, I used a large kitchen hypodermic needle type device called a "flavor injector" (don't tell my wife), designed to inject marinade into meat. The flavor/8880 Airstop injector worked exceptionally well for this repair, at the cost of one of the injector needles (clogged when I tried to clean it), but the rest of the flavor injector cleaned completely. After injecting Coghlan's 8880 Airstop around the valve and inspecting to making sure it was where it needed to be, I stood it on end to allow it to dry, which it does in just a few minutes. The repair worked exceptionally well, the air bed now holds air, does not leak at all. Upon inspection, the repair looks like it is as permanent as it can get. A little did drip down the side of the mattress, which I missed until it had dried. When I examined the drip, it actually appeared to have somehow become a part of the mattress, as if it were not a drip of a foreign substance but actually part of the beds material. Whatever chemical process occurs between Coghlan's 8880 Airstop and PVC is permanent. I bought 2 bottles, thinking I may need more for the repair, I used less than half of the first bottle (or so it appears to my eye). Almost can't wait for another fix to use this on to see if it is this good with everything.

Easy to use▪︎Fast to apply ▪︎Works Perfectly!!
I'm paralyzed and have to use an air mattress pad that constantly circulates air through it to keep my blood circulating in my legs. One day a factory sealed seam came loose & the patch kit did nothing to help. Then a new kitten arrived which as hard as we tried to prevent it, he added a couple pin prick holes that are hard to see but leak just the same. Before ordering a new air pad I saw Airstop Sealant, read some good reviews about it & since it was inexpensive figured I had nothing to lose, so ordered it along with a cloth patch (sold seperately, just in case). I quickly received the order & put it to use right away. The seam was glued 1st. This took no more than a minute to glue & make sure it held. The pin prick holes my husband had marked so they could be found & glued easily, all being done while I was still laying on the air mattress pad putting pressure on it. The patch I ordered was not needed & has yet to be used. Now, months later, the broken seam & those original tiny holes are still holding with the AirstopSealant used that day. I am VERY happy with this product & highly reccomend it! (I apologize for my long review, but I never give reviews until I have had a couple of months to see how things really work & when things surprise me like this one did, I want to show all points I feel are important. Plus I'm naturallylong winded

Great on inflatable kiddie pool waterslide seam!
UPDATE: 3/5/2014 My glue completely dried out during winter months and I stored it indoor too. I'll just buy another one. Finally a product that can seal torn seam perfectly. I used it to fix at least 3 kiddie pools and there are half bottle left for future use. If you are one of many parents tired of broken inflatable pools and have to buy new one every year, it's time to give this product a try! I saved up a few broken kiddie pool and it's time to fix them! 1) Intex 117-by-76-by-53-Inch Rainbow Ring Pool Play Center has a big tear on the seam. The tear is about 1 inch long. It seems like the vinyl just separated from the bottom piece at the seam area. before we could try the slide out with water! Instruction says for larger fix you need a piece of vinyl to patch it up, and then put Airstop around the seam of the patch. Instead of that I decided to use Intex Vinyl Cement to glue the top piece pack to the bottom piece (the seam). Vinyl cement works better if you try to glue vinyl on vinyl. Airstop doesn't work as good for this reason. Once that was done I put Airstop all around and over the seam area. I put 3-4 layers of Air stop, making sure I waited 15 minutes and longer on each application. The result? Amazing! I inflated the slide 24 hours later and it's holding in air. 2)We have another inflatable slide Intex 117-by-76-by-53-Inch Rainbow Ring Pool Play Center same style as the previous one but this one has two holes on the waterslide's seams. They are about 1/4 inch. After cleaning the area with rubbing alcohol, I applied 6 layers of Air stop. Again, make sure each layer dries up before putting on new application. It worked! Airstop definitely lives up to it's name. We tried the waterslide with water and it's holding in air well. Hopefully it stays that way. 3) I took out another busted up kiddie pool that has 9 or more holes. Just for fun I used Airstop to seal around the Intex Vinyl Cement and Vinyl Patch I used earlier. This makes sure no more air leaks around the vinyl patch. I wish I bought Airstop before I tried to patch the holes with vinyl patch. Airstop is way easier to use and dries up nice and clear. The Intex vinyl patch is so ugly, and this kiddie pool has bandages all over it. 4) The bottom of our Banzai Spray 'n Splash Giraffe Pool has some tiny pin holes because we laid it on the concrete. A few brush of Airstop and the holes are now patched. 5) I attempted to use Airstop as a glue to glue two shiny vinyl together. It didn't work. The two layers just peel off. For this job, vinyl cement is still the best Other comment: It smells just like vinyl tube cement. I hold my breathe when I use it. The smell disappear very quickly. It's a liquid and dribs easily, so make sure you hold the bottle near the area you need to brush it on. It doesn't dry up as fast as vinyl paste cement during use so you have a extra seconds to do the application. It has a plastic brush (plastic flat surface) Once patched, the inflatable's blow tube smells like Airstop. Hopefully it will go away as I hate to blow into the inflatable where the gas is still there. It dries up clear and barely noticeable. Great product!

It definitely works
I had a split or 2, in my expensive air mattress ( will not throw that queen size away ). I was looking for a glue, or something to seal the split. I found this, checked the reviews. I purchased anyway, & it worked. I applied it to the split, once. Then I applied it 5, minutes later. I left the air mattress flat over night. I woke up blew the air mattress up. I checked where the 2 splits were, they looked sealed. I got on the mattress, layed on it, moved around on it, fell asleep on it, lol. I woke, & i was still up in the air. It definitely works, it’s easy to apply, the durability is AMAZING, & it’s a great price ☺️

It worked on my Eddie Bauer air mattress! Thank goodness
I have an Eddie Bauer air mattress that I purchased about 1.5 years ago. It's mainly used as an extra mattress for family sleepovers in the home. It was not holding air and I discovered a pin hole puncture on the side seam. Luckily, I researched patch kits on Amazon before I listened to family and tossed it. Lone behold, I discovered Coghan's Air Stop having many reviews, so I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. I followed the instructions, but I put on an extra 2 applications just to be sure it was coated well. I reinflated the air mattress, had company over and they slept on it for 2 nights. It held up just great! It's definitely worth trying before you think you have to throw out your air mattress and get a new one. I found the odor of this product to be strong...kind of like a strong nail polish remover. If I use it again indoors, then I will crack open a window or use a mask to prevent inhaling the fumes from the product, but other than that, it worked great!! I'm glad I discovered it when I did. :)
