Well my Neje module arrived yesterday and upon opening the package I came to find out that there was an item included that is not listed in the description. The NEJE air assist accessory that is typically ONLY sold on the NEJE website WAS INCLUDED... you will NOT have to search for the 3D printed option, or search for the air assist for this module...IT CAME WITH IT... this to me was a very nice touch to be added to the package and offsets the cost of purchasing directly from NEJE. Well done and thank you.

I bought this for some engraving and light cutting for my Shapeoko 3XL and I could not be happier.Initially I had some reservations because the laser dot was actually a fairly wide oval, but using the focusing nut I was able to get a fairly fine dot. I would not expect insane detail here, but it cuts a much thinner line than my 1/16" bits can do.After soldering a PWM connection to the control board, attaching the laser to the gantry and wiring everything up it all worked perfectly using LightBurn on the first try. I did start with the recommended settings and got good results. Amazingly it's not horribly under powered in comparison to the stats. It does struggle a bit cutting 1/8" plywood in the number of passes provided, but that could also be my settings, focus and distance (likely also the lack of understanding on how to move the tool down slightly on each pass).I would love a longer power cord (6ft) and a much longer cable from the provided board to the laser head (6ft). Right now my setup I have things mostly dangling out of the way and need to hold them on larger operations.Given that this gives me all the functionality I wanted for about $500 less than a plug and play option I can't say enough positive things.Pros:Decent qualityRelatively easy to use with some DIY soldering/tinkeringGood cutting powerCons:Short wires.Mounting bracket is not the easiest to mount onto anything. It just uses a pair of screws (m3 and m5?) that screw into the back of the bracket.

Very powerful laser. I use it for plastic welding and achieve really great results. Controlling the power of the laser is key for my experiments. Will recommend it.
