Is there a size guide, based on user's height? Don't know whether to order the 35 or 42 inch. Thank you!

We ordered the 35" for my 5'9" husband, because the 42" wasn't available for several days. While the 35" helped, the 42" would have been better. There is more flexibility with the longer one because you can wrap up the non-stiff portion of the handle if it is too long, but also use it if you want more length.

I'm about 5'2 and bought the 35" leg lifter which was just right for me. You should probably order the 42". I hope this works for you. It was certainly a wonderful aid after my hip surgery.

Can this be used for getting out of a kayak?

I don't think so although it depends on what type of kayak you have. I have the kind you sit inside of rather than on top. If you have one where you sit on top, it might be useful. If you have one where you are sitting inside with your bottom 10-14 inches below the side, it would not be helpful.

Amazing Post Surgery Tool!

Since I returned my "faulty" leg lifter with the wire sticking out and received a new one, OMG - I am so grateful for this tool!! I just had a total knee replacement and leg reconstruction on July 13th. This new leg lifter is an amazing help. I would recommend this to everyone who has to lift their leg after surgery. Thank you.

I have reservations about how long this device will last when you are bending it regularly so you can store it in the car. Otherwise it does the job required, but getting it off your foot is not so easy

Useless! Not as indicated.

I just received this and it is just a strap that has no metal rod in the strapping. The strapping may be durable but it is not rigid. I am having my hip replaced and this will not help at all. It was in a little package that measured 2 1/2 " X 4". It would be amazing if the correct leg lifter with the appropriate sturdy, durable strap was to be sent to me asap.

Amazing

If you are going to have knee surgery, I highly recommend this. I can’t say enough good things about this. I took it with me to the hospital when I had surgery and the nurses were impressed by it. It folds up quite small as well.
