Great stuff
I bought this 'mange mite' shampoo for my cat Queenie because, at the time, I was convinced that she had mange (specifically on the back of her neck). I know now that Queenie did not have mange but rather she has developed a flea allergy (oh, joy...). I went ahead and bathed her in this shampoo anyway because I was desperate to get her clean. The area of concern on her neck was in need of some serious cleansing, despite the fact that I had been nursing it for days.Forget flea prevention, this mange mite shampoo worked like a charm at ridding her of any fleas and also keeping them away for some time afterwards. The shampoo itself is very potent in that it has a strong bitter herbal scent, and it clings to the pet's fur which helps to keep fleas at bay. I thought this one time I shampooed my cat was a fluke, but the second time I shampooed her (4 weeks later) it worked again. Needless to say I'm very pleased with this outcome.*Disclaimer* ...I'm not guaranteeing this will have the same effect on your own cat. It worked for my cat, but every cat is different and may not experience this same result in regards to fleas. Also, keep on mind, this shampoo is intended for treating mange mites in cats, not fleas.

GREAT combine with Pets Best Sulfine Cream for fast results
works great with Pets Best Sulfine cream for treating minor case of mange on cats....the 2 products combined...shampoo 1 time then apply the sulfine cream daily to affected area, then bath again with shampoo after 1 week then continue daily application of sulfine cream to affected area and done...my kitty was 100% clear at 2 1/2 weeks. the smell lingers a little bit on towels so use old towel leaves coast silky soft

Instructions for helping cat & dogs with ringworm
I have become a ringworm expert after a litter of sick kittens I was fostering came down with it. I did research and there is a lot of mixed info. I kept kitties quarantined in one of those nice, tall cat condos (the short shelves suck so I customized a second level with piece of wood at Home Depot that has cutouts for climbing through). A large dog/cat mesh playpen or isolated bathroom could work fine for treatment time. But it takes about a month to get rid RW. Knowing what I know now I think it can be treated faster. They need room to move, stretch, play and have litter box away from food & water. Ringworm is miserable for cat & dogs. But the name is grosser than what it actually is: a basic fungus like athlete's foot.Ideally start with a Lime Sulphur bath (be very careful not to get above neck or splash in eyes). I though this was disgusting so I did not do it. Knowing what I know now, I would have started with a Lime Sulphur bath at first sign of RW. It is by far the mist effective treatment but it smells like old egg farts for a day.Once a week use Cats n Mites shampoo (then their conditioner if you can afford it).Use Lotrimin Antifungal Ringworm Cream daily wherever you see a RW spore (they look like crystalized sugar, brown. black spots, dry scales or red circular skin irritations. Use a tiny amount only on the RW spot. Massage in completely. Do not let kitty lick the area for as long as possible. Distract them with treats and playing with toys. Be extremely careful using Lotrimin anywhere around face. You can do it but not close to eyes. RW likes to spread on belly, butt, face and ears but can grow anywhere. You can also use Pet MD Chlorhexidine Wipes with Ketoconazole wipes between Lotrimine treatments or wipe face b/c it is safer and easier inside ears and around face. Let it dry before letting cats groom.Strengthen the cat's immune system to sign the RW by giving a probiotic: Pet Ultimates Probiotics for Cats or Bene Bac 2 times a week. They can also eat goat yogurt if they like it.After treatment, wash your hands/ arms with Antifungal Soap by Purely Northwest. Regularly wash cat's laundry and whatever you wore treating them with Defense Soap Super Shield Antibacterial Laundry Treatment. And sanitize equipment with XTREME CLEEN CONCENTRATED Disinfectant b/c household anti-bacterial disinfectants do not work. Do not expose pets to these chemicals. All items must be dry before animals come in contact.

Use open drain bath with rag covered shower head
My cat was suffering from hair loss and chronic itching. Help with the flees and irritated skin. Already seeing progression in hair gain. Thank you! It does have a lingering smell of the natural ingredients but I don't find it too bad. Better than chemical smell you get with other flee products. I was a little worried trying this with my cat because she has very sensitive skin but it worked great!

good to use if you can't get treatment at the ...
Seems to be one of the few on the market, good to use if you can't get treatment at the vets office. Using revolution along with a dip and this soap works good to get rid of mites.

Works great for cats!
This shampoo worked great! We only shampooed our pet once, and it did the job. We did use the complimentary product, the conditioner as well. That made the coat silky soft. But highly recommend this shampoo for cats or kittens when a gentler product is needed than the stronger products that might be better for dogs or bigger animals.

I cannot recommend
Doesn't seem to be helping my cat at all. I've bathed her every other day, no change. In fact, her mites have spread from her tail to her hip, so I cannot recommend this product at this time.

did not work for our cat and she hated it
I dont think it worked at all and our cat hated it. After using it 3-4 times we gave up and tried other things instead. I am not sure if it works or not, but I am pretty sure that it is not effective enough to be an alternative for sulfur dip.
