Lovely product, but very disappointed that switch has broken after 6 weeks, considering the amount I paid for it. Switches look metal but are actually plastic

This interesting, unique little gadget (I do love gadgets!), has only just arrived and is receiving it's first charge. I was very eager to try it, and I'm aware it does need to be charged. However....I smiled when I briefly played the first nature sound, a cat purring. We have two Snow Bengal x Snow Savannah kits and we are very much cat people. So that was a very good start! I played a few moments of the male and female voices, and think I would settle, listening to both. I like the fact that they each speak different sessions to each other, doubling the content. I'm impressed with the concept and am hoping that I too find it helps me get to sleep. I intend to use the music/nature sounds in bed as I read myself to sleep every night (white print on black pages on my Kindle). I get the best sleep with a sleep-aid and hope to lessen the need for these, by better natural sleep. I haven't slept well since my children were born over 40 years ago, frustratingly. Maybe that will change... Someone said there was no volume control. There is. I'm eager to try it later with comfortable in ear headphones. But the speaker is also quite good. There are so many options, as others have said and the accompanying booklet is tastefully, clearly and thoughtfully presented giving all the themes etc. I will come back to update this review when I've had a few days to try it. Loving it so far!

I think this is a great product; it works. It looks great, I’m really pleased with it but it could be better: 1. The main issue I have is there is no way to turn the volume down lower as when I listen to the voice only settings there is silence and suddenly the voice starts again just as I’m dozing and it makes me jump out of my skin if I am listening on my earphones! I like listening on earphones so I don’t disturb my partner and the sound is better with earphones, but the thunderstorm stops being relaxing when you can’t turn down the volume and there is a big crash of thunder as you are dozing off, which is a shame because it’s so lovely to listen to, it really is 3D sound. 2. No option to the nature sounds or music along with the voice guided mediations (for reason listed above) and also I find it more relaxing to have the nature sounds in the background with meditations. It does have the nature sounds for one of the breathing/cardiac mediations and I find this the best one for me. 3. No binaural beats. There are frequencies that really help with promoting sleep and certain relaxed state brainwaves and I would love to have these as a white noise option. 4. Speaker could be better. This is the reason I use my earphones.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this product sure does deserve one. I bought this to help bring down my anxiety/stress levels as they feed a debilitating condition. I have to say that the Morphee is something incredibly special. If you’re familiar with hypnotherapy, it literally includes the same sessions right here in this beautifully designed unit. The voices are soothing, it covers all aspects of breathing control, visualisation, relaxation, meditation as well as being a sleep aid. The music is beautifully composed, immersive and varies as it plays (none of that mp3 silliness). Even the nature sounds have depth and are hyper-realistic. In short, I’d say that this is well and truly worth the money. The in-built sessions are endless and you can fall asleep to this and it’ll turn itself off. It would make a perfect gift for anyone suffering from stress, anxiety, panic, trauma and sleep deprivation. A very, very clever (and as I said, seems to be based on real therapy), gem of a creation. Update 26/01/25 I waited several years to purchase the English (multilingual) version of the more portable ‘Morphee Zen Pebble’ too and, for the same reasons as the above, that’s just as fantastic for bringing down anxiety naturally. Just as easy to use. I had thought that it would play all the same music as the original, but was surprised to find that the makers had designed it with new music and hypnotherapy sessions (I’ve said before how they use classic hypnotherapy techniques, which makes both units well worth the money!) catered to relaxing, rather than falling asleep. There’s one new piece of music that takes me straight to a New York coffee shop (Relaxing Music: No. 9 ‘Letting Go’), and that’s my absolute favourite for my office lunch breaks (the device allows you to ‘save’ from your favourite within each therapeutic collection, so you know where mine starts now!). Don’t worry if you don’t have a big imagination for the music collection. Just listening is wonderful enough and really brings your heart rate down. The ‘Immersive Journeys’ collection really paints a picture and takes me back to beach holidays! So, yes to the original ‘Morphee’ for help falling asleep and for combatting general stress/anxiety. Yes to the ‘Zen Pebble’ for calming moments on the go and anxiety therapy.

The look attracted me at first then I like what I read. The aesthetic didn't disappoint, the wooden case is beautifully smooth and tactical. I bought it for me but I've used it more with my elderly poorly mum who can get very agitated the Parisian Burmese cat purring can work wonders. The sound quality is pretty good too.

I was really looking forward to this purchase after reading reviews including one by the independent. Unfortunately the product didn’t live up to the expectations from the reviews. The speaker wasn’t great to start with and sounded dull not what was expected from something that cost almost £80. The meditation programmes missed some ambient back sounds also and just involved someone talking. Both the male and female voices weren’t the most relaxing either. The build quality was lovely and was very pleasing to look at but if you’re wanting something with a bit more zing there are other apps which have more choice.
