Fits my 9 yr old
I like this jeans on trend and comfy for my pre teen daughter she hates anything restricting or scratchy the tie front makes them fit her well because she is very thin. They wrinkle a bit more than I would like for jeans I hate ironing!

Super Cute Wide Leg (Not Baggy) Pull-on Jeans. Elasticized Waist Runs Large
These jeans are really cute and trendy right now, not that my 10-year-old cares. She only cares about comfort. For reference, she is 4'9" and fluctuates between 90-95#. She wears size 12 but she likes her pants and leggings a little looser and prefers size 14 when they're not falling down big. I got her size 12-14 in these and for the most part, they fit very well. The hip is perfect. Not tight and not too loose. Legs are wide and about 1" too long in the inseam. These are true wide-leg jeans and are not baggy jeans. The elastic waist runs big as it doesn't even need to stretch to accommodate her waist. And without a belt, she gets that uncomfortable sensation that they might slide down if accidentally tugged/pulled. There are no built-in adjustors for reducing the waist. That is the main drawback of these jeans. If this had the built-in adjustors in the waist, they would have been perfect and fit a wider variety of body shapes as well as growing bodies.I can sew so plan to cut open the waist and reduce the elastic band myself.

Nice look pants
Bought for my daughter. It was a great style. I accidentally bought the wrong size. But that on me. It’s a great pair of pants.

Huge Waist
To preface this, I only wear Hudson jeans, as they fit me like a glove and in the adult version, are excellent, reliable, high quality. Hudson is new to the kids' denim game and their sizing is all over the place, extremely inconsistent from design to design. My daughter is a somewhat lean but fairly average 10 year old and wears a size 8 in most leggings and jeans. I ordered her every style in the Hudson in a size 8 and 10, to see what she would like and was baffled at their unreliable sizing and HUGE WAISTS in all of the cuts and fits they make for girls. (Whereas the rest of the fit below the waist on each cut is normal and proportionate.) Their denim and dye quality is also hit or miss in different styles, which I was surprised at, based on my experience with the Hudson name. (Some cheaper/scratchier, and the black and grey dyes reek terribly with a heavy sulfur odor which will knock your socks off and took three washes to tone down.) This pair is an elastic only pull-on waist (not adjustable like most of their styles except this and the jegging) and in the size 8, was 4.5" (!) too wide in the waist. Giant. Fell down. It would have to be altered by a tailor to fit her, replaced with an entirely new elastic band. She was so disappointed because she loved the fun, trendy, flowy cut. (It's also more of a cropped, flood cut.) If you have an average, slim or petite kiddo, Hudson kids jeans are definitely not the best-fitting brand for that body type, and seem to be geared toward fuller girls. Even then, the waists in all the cuts were disproportionately wide compared to the rest of the Hudson kids' jean design (in hip, butt, thighs, calves), which are more traditionally proportionate/fitting, like other brands which can universally fit many body types. The Hudson Flare (please make a non-ripped version for schools that don't allow tears!) and Skinny/Slim fits fit her in the brand, but the rest of the cuts were unwearable. (Still, in the Flare and Skinny, she had to adjust the Hudsons by 8 notches on each side, which is far too wide compared to other adjustable brands.) I was surprised that Gymboree jeans were a higher quality denim, dye and far better cut than my personal favorite, go-to Hudson brand. I look forward to Hudson kids fixing these sizing/waist issues so that slim kids can also fit into the brand like their moms can, because their designs are stylish, thoughtful, and on-trend. You can do it, Hudson!

Runs short.
I bought these for my 12 year old granddaughter. They are way too small even though all of her other pants are size 12. They are short waisted and short in length. I won't be purchasing this brand again.

High rise, TTS, sophisticated
The light blue pull on stretch waist denim is exactly as pictured. They look like they could be women’s pants, in fact my daughter thought they were for me when I pulled them out of the packaging.Details:The style is a sophisticated kids’ pant and has a comfortable fabric that’s on the thinner side. This is a perfect spring/summer pant with functional pockets and a tie waist that is a simple tie at the front end only (don’t not wrap around the entire waist). The tie in the front is basically for looks and you don’t necessarily need to untie it every time it’s worn because of the stretch band at the waist, however it’s easy enough to just do one simple knot and not en entire bow because of its short length and how it’s sewn into the sides.Sizing:My tall 6 year old typically wears size 8 in girls leggings. I went with the 8-10 not sure if it would be too big, but rather her have time to grown into them. My guess is that these fit TTS like a pair of size 9. I only say this because the waist band fits on my daughter but the bulk of the high rise and the length of the pants are still a little big on her. The pants hit the floor when she wears them but I can see them fitting her perfectly next year when she’s a size 9. The elastic waist band is sturdy and seems flexible for girls between the size 8-10 size, which I like, because it tells me these pants will last longer than one season of wear. Also, since they technically fit my daughter now, I can see them outlasting her typically pant life cycle.Overall, very nice pair of pants that look like they’re built to last between sizes.
