Mostly white paper so true watercolor color shines through.Perfect size to not overwhelm me (like bigger journals with many more pages) and I can feel that I accomplished something when filling up my book.Fits great in a bag or purse.

Small and convenient, with nice lightweight paper that holds up really well to watercolour. Really good to have a lighter weight paper that sits nicely in a book but one you can paint in. Seawhite quality is excellent as always. Very happy

I’m really happy with this sketchbook of watercolour paper. I didn’t actually understand the description of the paper’s texture in the write-up, so I bought it anyway, knowing it was a small gamble and I’d use it anyway. It’s great. The texture is much finer than your usual very thick watercolour paper, but it still has a nice bite and texture to it - it’s just a bit smoother. I’ve tried to photograph it so you can perhaps see what I mean. First up I’m simply using it for making colour swatches, ie. having a record of the various colours I mix with primaries. The paper has stayed strong and is not ruckling up. Next, I’ll be watercolour sketching and already know it’ll be perfect for that. I’d say this is a nicely made quality booklet, wrapped in a well-finished hardback, and I’ll certainly purchase again.

Great size for travelling and for quick sketches while outdoors as it will fit in a small bag. The weight of the paper is perfect, it takes pen really well and lots of watercolour paint without cockling. I’ve added layers of paint onto these pages, scrubbed, lifted colour, added inks and yet this paper copes with it all. Lovely texture for granulating colours. Highly recommended.

I had never tried this brand of sketchbook before and this one is a nice handy size for taking out and about. The paper is really nice for drawing on, however it did warp a bit after one layer of watercolour. It’s great as a daily journal but it does annoy me that you can see through the pages to the drawing before, not ideal. It’s ok if you are trying not to be too precious. Also the last few pages fell out and had to be stuck back in.

I love the lie flat double page design and the quality of the paper. I will be taking this sketchbook on my travels to record some memories.
